Product Description

Scott Farmer realized that some of the world’s great wines were being lost to oxidation and consumers were the one’s losing out. With the objective of assisting both consumers and restaurateurs to preserve opened bottles of wine, Scott invented PRIVATE PRESERVE.

As PRIVATE PRESERVE has continued to grow, Scott has continued his endeavors in assisting customers. With careful and meticulous research, he has found that in addition to wine, Private Preserve is well suited to the preservation of port, sherry, single malts, single batch bourbons, old Cognac, sake, ultra-fine tequila, and in the kitchen, fine cooking oils and vinegars.

For use in decanters, Scott recommends the same amount of spray time as for a 750ml bottle. However, please note that some decanter stops are made haphazardly as an afterthought. Scott’s recommendation is to purchase a well-made decanter from a reputable source

Instructions for Use

  • Put the tip of the extension tube inside the neck of the bottle against the glass
  • Spray one long (1 sec.) and 4 short bursts into 750ml bottle
  • Larger bottles require additional sprays—add one long spray for each larger size
  • Recork immediately & store upright
  • Use each time you pour & store

An easy, affordable way to enjoy fine wine by the glass

Preserve wine at home or in a restaurant the same way winemakers preserve wine in wineries.

For someone like myself who enjoys the occasional glass of wine, this product is a keeper. Wine from an opened bottle tastes just as good 3-4 days later. Wonderful!

The product arrived promptly. When you need to save an opened bottle of wine and may not get to it for a few days, this product preserves the quality of the wine.

My wife has continually used this product for years to preserve her wine in small bottles, as she is the only wine drinker in the family.

I tested this against my wine preservers that have you pump out all the gases from a bottle. I don’t like the idea of pumping out all the gases because who knows what unnatural or abnormal state that puts the wine in. But putting inert gases over the wine seems to be like what corks do. I don’t see any difference between pumped and inert gassed wine, for what that’s worth, but the inert gas thing is easier. Pumping is cheaper. ???

I bought it to spritz inside varnish cans. Varnish eats up air inside the can and eventually become unusable. Hopefully this will work, time will tell. SO far so good.

Received quickly and without hassle. If you ever find yourself with a partially full bottle of wine, this stuff works SO much better than just shoving the cork back in the bottle. I’ve kept wine fresh for months with it. Will be a return customer.

Hey Mikey we like it! This is a wonderful way to preserve our wine and not feel compelled to finish the bottle of a nice bottle of wine. We can now save it for the next meal!

The can feels empty and doesn't deliver anywhere near the the advertised 120 uses (at 1-2 seconds each as directed). A mixture of carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and argon, the tiny amount of the inert gas in the can is effectively free, so the price boils down to that of just the can itself. It's a ripoff.

I like wine but don't drink a lot. This product keeps the wine fresh between servings which can be weeks.

This is a brilliant product - works GREAT at removing the air and keeping the wine fresh - but I couldn't give 5 stars. They claim that each canister provides 120 PLUS uses! Um, no...I would estimate *maybe*? 20 uses per canister? When it starts running low, the pressure is greatly diminished, as is its effectiveness. Gets pretty pricey to order new canisters every 5 or 6 weeks so this time I ordered two sets. Ouch!

If you're skeptical, put that thought away. This stuff (gas) keeps wine for weeks. I treated 1/2 bottle two months ago and did not find the bottle (in the back of the 'fridge) for three weeks. Thought it would be a loss, but to my surprise, the wine was as good as the day it was opened. This treatment really does keep wine in excellent shape for a long time. My wine collection will never be without it.
