Rotate
Use a screwdriver to align the center of the cork and press down a small part, then keep rotating.

Complete Bottle Opening
Opening the bottle successfully is that simple.
Step 1:
Place foil cutter on top of wine bottle so wheels are aligned with top of foil.
Step 2:
Squeeze foil cutter and rotate bottle quarter to half turn.
Step 3:
Remove the foil cutter and foil from the top of the bottle.
Step 1:
Put the bottle stopper into the bottle mouth.
Step 2:
Pull up and down repeatedly several times to complete.
Step 3:
When you need to open it again, turn the bottle stopper left and right and open it when you hear the airflow.

The items in this set work well and are sturdy enough to be used regularly. Love the pop of color in the cork remover. Great little gift bag filler.

Wine Opener with Vacuum Bottle Stopper and Aluminum Foil Cutter. Bar Essential, Green.This is a clever wine bottle opener that certainly works well and is fun to use. Whether you are looking for a wine opener to use every day, or one to add to your collection and just use occasionally, I think this one will not disappoint. Its rather unique design is somewhat of an attention-getter and is easy to use with no learning curve whatsoever – simply place the corkscrew into the center of the cork and turn clockwise until the cork is removed. The screw portion of the opener is somewhat different in that it is not only the typical corkscrew, but it has what appears to be a thin drill bit running through the center of the screw, which makes it more durable as well as easier to turn.The one drawback – and the reason I subtracted one star – is that the corkscrew pierces the wine end of the cork, thereby introducing the risk of a small piece of the cork falling into the wine bottle. This is probably not a problem if the cork is fairly moist, but for vintage wine or bottles that were not stored on their side, the risk is greater. There is no real control over this because you must continue to turn the screw until the cork is removed.The foil cutter has 4 blades and works great. My experience has been that this type of 4-blade foil cutter works best and is easy to use – usually, a quarter turn in each direction is enough for removing the top of the foil. I am not a fan of the vacuum bottle stopper … I find that the vacuum is often short-lived. But I got this wine opener for the opener … not for the accessories.So, in summary, this wine bottle opener works, is easy and fun to use, requires no learning curve, and seems quite durable. However, I would refrain from using it on older, vintage wines where the cork might be dry.
