While I understand that sulfites don’t really worsen the way you feel, I started having an allergic/inflammatory reaction to wine while I had long covid. It’s annoying. These make enough of a difference for me to enjoy a glass when I want to!

This product is used like a tea-bag so I found it easy to take out of the packaging and use. I just put the ‘tea-bag-like’ bag into my wine while hanging the string outside of my glass and waited around 5 minutes. Then I took it out. What I was left with was wine that had less histamine, sulphites and allergens so less allergic side effects. I use this every time I drink wine and it helps tremendously. Would recommend.

Gave this to my friend before poor wine into her glass. Next morning was the first time she didn’t complain about headache. It was a very interesting experiment since filter has no smell and really did not change taste of wine. It is pretty functional design, but wired to use it in the restaurant, since you practically insert packet into your glass. There is no good instructions on how to use it or for how many glasses it is good for. We had to go to the website to search for it. Depends on how many drinks it is good for you can figure out if it is a good value for money or not. You can store it in your purse and it is pretty good, but absent of instructions was pretty annoying.

I tried it at a friend's house during. dinner party that featured red wines only and it worked. No headache. Putting a drop in each glass did not affect flavor of the wine. The next day I ordered a bottle and it arrived promptly. Unfortunately the nozzle was sealed and the wine drops wouldn't come out. I tried to make a hole on the tip with various sharp but small objects and it wouldn't puncture it. In the process I squeezed the bottle hoping I had made a hole and the top flew off dumping 1/2 the bottle into a glass of wine. The wine was undrinkable and the little bottle is half gone. I have since ordered another bottle to take on a trip with me and Im hoping it comes ready to go. Once you take it out o the box you can't return it so fingers crossed it comes as it should.

I don't drink wine, but my husband likes to indulge in a glass occasionally. But red wine always gave him a headache the next day. Not anymore! He reluctantly accepted one of these little bags in his red one evening, and it worked just like it says...alleviated any headache and grogginess. It was as if he hadn't even had a drink. And he said it didn't change the taste at all!

Initially I was unable to drink red wines due to an almost immediate headache developing. This wasn’t such a big deal as I tend to enjoy whites more anyway. A couple years ago and I started to get headaches with my favorite white wines too. Nothing worked to prevent them; no amount of hydration, allergy meds, pain pills, etc. I had resigned myself to just forgoing wine for the rest of my life, and that didn’t bother me that much until our anniversary. As a last resort I decided to purchase these, and they worked! The bag in the wine didn’t change the taste, was easy to use, and having shopped around seemed like the best value for my money. I am thrilled that I can still enjoy my favorite wine for special occasions! Thank you!

Allergy to histamines and tannins kept me from enjoying red wine most of my adult life. I discovered these via a friend at a vintner’s wine tasting festival and WOW: what a difference.I always take one or two in my handbag when I’m traveling or meeting friends for dinner and drinks. Great gifts too!

Very disappointment. No noticeable difference in the phosphate symptoms but a big difference in the taste of the wine. Maybe my problem is drinking white wine and not red wine.

It’s actually kinda funny, but I can’t wait until I whip this out and throw it in my wine glass. I either hear “What is that?” or “Why are you doing that?” It is a life saver if you have a sulfite allergy. However, be cautious of ice blocking it’s effectiveness and remember to only use one bag per glass (2 for a large glass). I ALWAYS carry it in my purse now just in case I am out and need one. Not sure if it works for beer yet but I plan on trying it. I will update my review if I do.

I bought these despite the lack of genuine UK purchase reviews because they work out a lot cheaper than the PureWine wands (which I haven't tried since they are silly money). As I've got older I find my tolerance for wine has reduced considerably and one big glass can trigger a headache, so I was hoping these might help. The first time I used one I poured a medium sized glass of my favourite Argentina malbec plus about half a shot glass to taste. I put the bag in the bigger one, left it for about 7 minutes then did a taste test. The bag had definitely altered the flavour quite a lot but I couldn't decide in what way. It was smoother but not as nice somehow. Anyway, that evening I drank both. The next day I felt a bit 'fuzzy' with a threatening headache, but I wouldn't have expected a major problem after the equivalent of one large glass anyway. The next time I tested, several days later, I had two large glasses of malbec, each with a separate bag (since they are single use only) and didn't have any untreated wine. Each glass that evening was 200ml (I weighed them as I poured) so just 25ml over half a bottle in total. I found I wasn't really enjoying them at all. They tasted bland and uninteresting. Not at all as I expect a malbec to taste. No headache threatened that evening but I woke in the night with a thumper and felt dreadful all day - headache, nausea and shaky hands. The worst hangover I've had in years. I might expect that these days if I'd downed half a bottle of untreated wine (I wouldn't!) but I had hoped that the filtering would work. Clearly not, and I wouldn't bother drinking the wine tasting like that again anyway. Definitely not worth adding over £1 to the cost of each glass.
