Unlike a motor, which creates circular motion, a linear actuator can be used with any application that requires moving something in a straight line (e.g. up and down or side to side). Windy Nation LIN-ACT1 Series Linear Actuators are a powerful and reliable linear actuator for small to medium loads. We designed our linear actuator with pre-lubricated metal gears, pre-installed limit switches, and with an IP65 (suitable for outdoor use) water resistance rating. Included with your purchase is a linear actuator up/down switch, which is used to the control the motion of the linear actuator. There are two options for the switch: Momentary and Maintained. A momentary switch will only supply power to the actuator when the button is actively engaged by your finger. When you release the button, power is cut to the actuator and it stops. The maintained switch will continued to supply power to the actuator until it is manually turned off by the end user (A light bulb switch is a maintained switch, which means it will stay on until you turn it off).

Easy to install and works great with plenty of power to adjust plow while spreading limestone. Switch is awkward to mount on handlebars.

The screws on the tubing that protects the cylinder became loose which caused it to move and break the wire to the end switch.Not something you can repair at home. Work well when it was new. Used 1 season on snowblower. Not impressed.!!

These guys are fantastic. I had a minor issue and they talked me through it, being very patient with my ignorance. They stayed with me the whole time, none of the "one answer today, another tomorrow, etc.". The actuator is very well made, steel gears, heavy wire, metal casing. Looking forward to years of service.

Item looks like it’s been used although it’s says it’s supposed to be new. There are chips and scratches on metal and plastic some look deep. Box it came in looks fine. Haven’t tested to see if it works.

Super product. I disassembled and found a complete complement of steel gears, well lubricated, and properly fitted. Also includes end limit switches properly wired to protect the end travels. Rigid steel enclosure and robust mounting brackets. The included directional switch is well labeled, however, it is a little large, good for light industrial environments.
