I watched the installation video several times so was fairly well prepared. The video wasn't exactly accurate but good enough so i could get the job done. The delivery company screwed up and I was unable to track the shipment. I contacted the seller and they immediately sent out a 2nd restrictor. Right after that the shipping company suddenly showed the first in their system so I contacted the seller again and told them to re-direct the 2nd back to home base. Great customer service and the product looks good and functions well.

Be prepared for a long day when installing this deflector. It is not for the faint of heart. I read that some people put this on in 1 to 2 hours is clearly misleading. I’ve been around cars all my life, I’m definitely a ‘car guy’, and it was several hours to install – and a trip to a good hardware store. First, although a high quality deflector, which include little white cotton gloves sized for 10 year old girls, I cannot argue about the quality of the unit or hardware. It is a solid, nicely crafted piece! Second, I have a C6 Corvette, EXCEPT mine is a Grand Sport “wide body” convertible, which, changes several aspects of the install. You aren’t told this in during the buying process and it blindsides you -- in very tiny letters of a small note attached to their instructions on page 2, they say if you don’t have holes in your seatbelt bracket, mine didn’t, you have to go to some You Tube special instruction on their website – and get lucky if you can find it – and then, the plastic seatbelt cover is OFF the car when they show you how to DRILL the most IMPORTANT hole of the install process. Mine had a front clip that must need a special tool for removing it and they do not tell you how to do so. I had to drill ‘in the blind’ because you cannot see to drill straight while the cover is hanging on by the front clip in the car. I got lucky and did so on one side, but missed the perfect circle on the other side and had to use an oversized ½” drill bit to open the hole big enough to LINE UP the cover with their very important anchor – in fact, the You Tube video of the whole operation has, in red, telling you that this is the MOST important aspect of the install – and it is, to line up the anchor with the screw and hole in the cover. I had to go to the hardware store, buy 2 ½” 10/32” screws, then, buy a ½” long nylon spacer, and oversized nuts to use as spacers for my install. My deflector’s mounting brackets are 40 ½” apart, and you REALLY just need to make sure your spacing is 20 ¼” from the “Y” brackets they send you, to the center of the car – I used my convertible’s rear lid latch as ground zero – the middle of the car. 20 ¼” from there, outwards in BOTH equal distances to the deflector’s “Y” mounting bracket outer brackets. You need to measure to see about yours as the width may be different. However, keep in mind, the goal here is to put the deflector CENTERED between the seats. They keep telling you the “Y” brackets need to be 3/4” from the END of the pillar mount bracket – NOT in the Grand Sport convertible! They are more between the pillar bolts towards the pillar, and this is why you need LONGER screws from the hardware store, as the supplied 2” screws are TOO SHORT, and why you need spacers for proper center alignment. I used a ½” nylon spacer from on one side to make sure when the screw is INTO the anchor located IN the seat belt pillar and made sure when it was tight, that my measurement from the installed “Y” bracket to the center of my latch cover (or you can use the Corvette emblem center between the seats) was 20 ¼” for proper spacing. On the opposite “Y” bracket, I used two oversized nuts as spacers to properly get the other side at 20 ¼” from center. The pounded in anchors into the seatbelt towers held fine. I also used a large washer to hold the screw head in place – you probably don’t need to. Mine is the UNLIGHTED version and that probably saved me another set of issues, but I did find the wiring harness they suggesting using for lighting the deflector. I don’t drive my Corvette at night, so I didn’t need it lighted. I’ve heard it is way bright. Certainly watch their factor install You Tube video, but remember, it’s different when you do your install on a C6 Corvette Grand Sport convertible. Now, for function – does this thing actually work? I went zipping down the interstate at 85, top down, and windows down for 75 miles, and I have to tell you I do like it. Probably cuts the wind about 50%. You can hear your passenger better, and it’s quieter. I live in the flat prairie of western Minnesota, near the flat eastern North Dakota side, and we definitely have wind here – nothing stops it. Passing semi trucks gives you some slight buffeting, but nothing like my biker days. What I LIKE is you can also raise and lower your top without issue, while it is installed; it is CLEAR to use your main rear-view mirror, and the clearances are TIGHT, so be prepared for that. I did have some squeaking when done, but those cute little cotton gloves came in handy to place between a couple rubbing vinyl pieces – lol. See, those engineers WERE thinking… lol.UPDATE: When going down the Interstate with the windows up and the top down, the wind noise was, in my opinion, cut about 75%... really. MUCH LESS noise. The wind came up over the top and didn't DIVE BOMB back into the car between the seats like without the deflector. Much more enjoyable! For me, it was well worth the toil and price.

Won a silent auction for some free upgrades and had been thinking of purchasing one anyway, so I did. Opted for factory install in their Dallas, Texas office. Glad I did. Got to meet the amazing family behind this business. The wind restrictor cuts down a huge amount of wind noise. I wear hearing aides so driving my 2008 convertible with the top down gave me very loud wind noise in the hearing aides. This seems to have resolved 90% of that issue. Girlfriend loves it because she doesn’t have to put her hair up with this installed. Looks fabulous at night. The remain the control offers a full spectrum of colors to choose from along with several different lighting pattern options. It also allows you to brighten or dim the lights based on your preference. Definitely a 5 star add. I can not say enough good things about their staff. They are amazing. Highly recommend this product.

First off i bought one for my 2006 corvette. WOW, are these way over priced... First thing i noticed the day i got it in was, when i drove at night the lighting of this unit is way to bright...Holy Cow, felt like i was driving a Rice Burner Jap Car.... So i contacted the company, and thier dimmer is 35.00 plus ship... If i knew these two isues i would not of bought the OVER PRICED UNIT.Then, i found a Youtube video on this item, and saw thier adjustable dimmer..So i then went to ebay and see the exact dimmer for 4-8 dollars, So i bought one there that cost me 7 dollars with prioity ship.. So then i looked up the lighting bar that fits this and it ranges from 2-8 dollars and thats for more than one...Also, in my 2006 corvette when driving down high way at say 55, there is some improvment but ,, to pay over 400 for this NOT !!Im sure other model car's you can expect maybe better results, but very little with my 2006 corvette. So if you still going to look at this unit, Its pretty easy to install for most, But if your going to buy any of thier acessory's to add to it like ,light adjuster, and or other color LED'S.. Look on ebay ..i payed 7 dollars and change for the dimmer, and the company wants 35.00..I
