Works great, easy setup and nice small footprint!I bought this for my kids' bedroom which can get pretty toasty with both bunk beds loaded up. The room was too small to justify a rolling unit with the accompanying window vent, and a standard tower fan wasn't cutting it by just blowing hot air around.The only assembly required was putting the two-part base on, that's it! The evaporative cooling process keeps things nice and tidy, the included ice packs are a nice touch and cut the temperature down enough to get the kids comfortable.Absolutely worth the money, couldn't be happier.

It’s not loud when it’s running, and the air it blows out feels pretty cool, especially if you crank it up to a higher setting, it’s got some real power behind it. I’ve been using this cooler fan in the evenings or when I’m hanging out in the living room. The water tank is easy to fill, and the whole thing doesn’t take up much space. It swings about 60 degrees, so the air gets around the room okay. It’s got this simple, clean look to it, nothing fancy, but it feels sturdy for what it is. I like that I can toss in the ice packs for an extra chill, and the controls are basic, so there’s no hassle figuring it out. Before bed, I’ll sometimes set the timer for like half an hour to let the air circulate a bit, it keeps things cooler without me having to think about turning it off, since it shuts down on its own. That part’s pretty reliable. It’s not like it’s blowing my mind or anything, but it does what I need it to. On the flip side, the tank isn’t huge, so if you’re running it all day, you’ll be refilling it a couple times. Also it’s not gonna cool down a big space, it’s more for a small room or if you’re sitting close by.

I had a similar unit back in 2004 but it didn't have the ice/water capability. Been experimenting and I've now loaded it with the ice packs that are included as well as ice and water. Ice and water definitely felt like they produced colder air. Going to try ice water with salt next. Plan to get a thermometer to see just how cold ice water can make blown air. Quite happy with it!
