Great product and the tools are sturdy and probably reusable. One set of tools lasted through 26 screen replacements.

This screen repair kit has ever needed to replace multiple screens. I have an on going issue where my dogs will press their faces on my window's screens until they tear or stretch. This kit will easily save you $10-15 compared to buying the screen and tools separately. There is plenty of screen for multiple repairs. The screen itself is thick and durable. The tools are very easy to use. Repairing/replacing a screen is a simple diy repair that even the most inexperienced home owner can do.The only issue I have with this kit is that the screen is folded and not on a roll. But for the price I'm willing to overlook that inconvenience. I was able to use an old gift wrap tube to roll the screen onto for easier and faster repairs in the future. With my dogs it's almost guaranteed that a screen will need repaired in the future.I would recommend this to everyone looking to perform some screen replacements. They box the kit comes in is small enough to stow away for future repairs.

I am the first time user of this product and used it based on some you-tube videos. The quality of screen is very good and also the tools provided with it. The string that came with was little HIGHER thickness so I ended up reusing existing string. Also note that the screen comes folded pattern ( NOT A ROLL) .. but it worked perfectly fine. So still giving 5 star. Easy to use and assemble on the existing screen frame. Took about 45 mins per window screen. I was able renew 6 window screens with one mesh of 48IN X 177IN.

Let's preface this review with three bits of information:- I'm moving out of my apartment- I adore my cat, but he was a holy FAST terror as a kitten and loved to climb screens- I'm a responsible renter and I want my security deposit backI was hesitant and almost fearful to replace my screens, but my conscience and the fact that he got to Every. Single. Window. got the best of me, so I looked for a kit and some instructional videos online. After a date with YouTube and a delivery notification, I got to work.I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of this kit. In addition to the immense amount of screen, it comes with enough spline to finish your project, a handy measuring tape, a hook thingie that looks like a torture device but is invaluable to taking the old screen out, a spline roller to make installation easy, and a tiny, SHARP box cutter to trim the screen.I was initially apprehensive about this project, but having everything I needed right in the box made the installation easy. There is a TON of screen in this package. I was able to replace the screens in 4 medium - large side sliding windows with no problem. The tools were also really easy to use, especially the screen roller, which has a nice grip and doesn't feel gross in your hand when you have to push the spline in.After about 2 hours' worth of work, all of my screens are now pristine! I also feel kind of like a badass. Most importantly, though - my reputation as a tenant remains untarnished, my apartment looks like I have my act together, and I'll hopefully get my deposit back without issue. If you're on the fence and have gross window screens -- just get this kit. You'll feel great once you fix them up.Just watch out for enthusiastic kittens.

My dog damaged the screen as she was trying to see what happened outside. After a couple of quotations on Yelp, I decided to do it myself lol.I've watched some YouTube videos online, installation is fairly easy! It was done in 10 mins, it comes with all the necessary tools, and still have plenty of screen left, can save it for future use!

I'd never changed the screen in a window before, but I watched a Youtube video, then ordered this kit. I chose this one because it came with all the tools for changing the screen. Our old screen was torn because the cats had picked at it -- the window faces a tree that has berries that the birds eat, so the cats get excited there and had done a number on it.The replacement screen comes folded, but it doesn't hold the creases. The tools included made replacing the screen easy, and it only took a few minutes and one try. The screen itself feels much thicker than the old one, and looks great. I have enough screen to do at least 5 more windows of the same size, and won't be afraid to tackle the next replacement.

I really like this screen kit. I had 5 large windows and a screen slider to replace and this kit handled it all. It really does have everything you need and you can reuse the tools again for other screen replacement. The actual screen mesh is good and strong. My cats have already tried to hang on it and didn’t wreck the mesh. My German shepherd has already tested my screen by running into it not realizing that it was there. It didn’t rip nor pull out of the spline trough. I didn’t use the spline included since it seems a bit too thick for my screen troughs, I reused the previous spline since it was still good. A hint for getting a nice wrinkle free screen is to start in a corner to anchor the screen and pull it tight at the opposite end and then use the end of your spline to just “tack” that in place. As you work towards the tacked in spline you can remove it and then use the end again in the next corner to tack it once you’ve stretched it reasonably tight continue your way around to you starting point. Easy to do and works/looks great!
