Expensive, flimsy, and I would recommend using painters tape or getting something more sturdy to press against it.

We got this because our cat broke the original siding to our air conditioning unit so that she can "mingle" with the other cats in the neighborhood.Installation was easy enough and this was meant to be a temporary fix, but we've had this in place for over 6 months now and it's holding up ok. It does it's job with keeping the sides blocked and the heat/cold out, but if something gets on it, it's almost impossible to clean. As long as you take your time while installing, it works great.

This is essentially a big piece of foam - I thought it would be a quick fix but you have to measure and precisely cut the foam to fit your opening-- and then they provide 2 rolls of tape to secure the foam. After trying to cut it and tape it into place, it looks messy and seems to still leave a lot of cracks exposed. Maybe it's the trim around our window to the shape of our AC but it just doesn't do what we expected it to do. Regardless, I'm guessing you could buy this piece of foam and some double sided tape at the hardware store for much less.
