the good. the handle does not come lose like a wooden handled hammer would. the bad. the face of the hammer is SOFT. hammers from harbor freight have a harder face than these. if you can get over that then buy it. for me the soft face is worth not having to buy new handles every time one breaks.

Very disappointed the this "2 pound" ball peen is not 2 pounds.... I.E. 32 ounces. It's 24 os. And I would not have ordered it if it had an accurate product description.

This is a real good hammer. This is the second time I've owned this hammer as my first one got swiped on the job so I'm speaking from experience (industrial mechanic). The paint chipped off rather quickly on this last hammer, but I don't care, I beat stuff with it. Comfortable handle, strong impact, and very nice balance. Definitely reduced arm fatigue for me, very happy about that. Overall a great product at a great price. Very happy.

This is a quality hammer--- Yes its a rather pricey hammer but it has a very nice feel and very nice rubber handle. If you are use a wooden handle you will notice an immediate difference in comfort. I assume it will last a LONG time just by looking at the overall build but only time will tell!

I bought this hammer becuase I needed a new ball pein hammer after the Mac one I had for many years cracked fromage, sitting in my tool box. I was extremely disappointed. I saw this hammer advertised in one one fliers that mechanics get. I looked at reviews for the hammer and saw the many positive reviews. I took a chance and ordered it. I was very pleased with the heft and construction. Though I haven't used it yet, it looks like it will take a beating.

Wilton makes the best hammers ever, bar none, they may cost a little more but, the quality is excellent. I've been a mechanic for 35 years and have used nearly every type of hammer out on the market and for the money, nothing compares to the Wilton bash hammers.

The Wilton 24oz. ball Pein hammer feels well balanced in the hand and appears to be of good quality. I don't feel much shock to my hand, wrist, or arm when striking. The packaging with the hammer says "Designed and Engineered in the USA" but it's made in Mexico.
