The Wilson 1003R GST is designed with a host of features to provide you with the best all-purpose football available. The new, improved 899 WE leather with tanned-in tack and deep pebble design combined with the 1005 small pattern and deep channels provide great grip-ability. Wilson's advanced Accurate Control Lacing System (ACL) replaces traditional laces with thick, pebbled composite leather laces, providing a softer, more grippable feel which translates to better control. The composite grip stripes ensure that no matter where you grip the ball--even if it's on the stripes--you'll always have control.

Engineered to perform at the highest level, it's the official game ball of such colleges as the University of Tennessee, North Carolina State, Duke, Northwestern and many more. It features the following exclusive Wilson features:

  • Patented ACL (Accurate Control Lacing) laces are made of pebbled composite leather, providing 174 percent more grip than traditional laces.
  • Composite laid-in leather stripe is 82 percent more grippy than traditional painted stripes.
  • Multi-layered neoprene inner lining for better shape and durability.
  • 3-ply bladder for better air retention and moisture control.

Came with some threads sticking up and the stripe not entirely aligned. Quality is way too low for what it costs.

Grandson loves it. Well made and durable. This was a replacement for an earlier NCAA model he lost in a lake over the holidays.

Perfect football. Needs to be played with/scuffed up a bit out of the box for the grip to be optimal

This great product comes in a crude form and needs lots of love to break it in, to make it a quality game ready ball. But totally worth it. Check out some YouTube videos on how different folks like to use to break the balls in. All are labor intensive and take time, but are a necessary step toward letting this ball realize its potential.

I've always loved the feel and weight of a true authentic football. I saw Ohio State using these in their bowl games against Alabama and Oregon and had to have one. There's many things I absolutely love about this ball. I'll start with the pros...The feel of an authentic "Game ball" is second to none. While it takes a little bit of time and some elbow grease to shed this ball of its protective layer, nothing feels better. What I like about this football that I've not found on any other ball are the stitched on stripes that have taken the place of the standard painted on stripes. Besides never having to worry about the paint wearing off, these stripes of made of a synthetic tacky material that the ball easy to handle, catch and throw. This is a big football. So for people with smaller hands that have a hard time gripping it thesea come in handy. The graphics on a high end ball are always branded and embossed on the ball instead of stamped. While it's irrelevant to the actual performance of the ball, it justifies the price you pay.The only con I can come up with would be the synthetic lacing system. While it states on the description of the ball that the synthetic laces give the thrower better command of the football, I've noticed it's taken a lot longer to get that slippery feeling off the laces than it did the football itself. This ball needs to be broken in thoroughly through use before a true review can be done, but to get a little piece of the college game at an affordable price, this ball is top of the line! You can't beat it.
