The recommended planting zone for Earth Science wildflower mixes is highlighted on the map above in yellow. This is based on the USDA Plant Hardiness Zone map which is the standard to determine which plants are most likely to thrive at a location.
These are recommendations and are not hard, fast rules. If you choose to try Earth Science wildflower mix in a zone not specifically recommended, you will need to take extra care to make sure the wildflowers grow.
Rake Area
Rake area to remove dead grass and debris. Seeds grow best when they have direct contact with the soil.
Apply Evenly
Uniformly apply wildflower mix so the area is mostly covered, but bare ground is still visible.
Tip:
Plant when daytime air temperatures are consistently above 60° so that the ground is warm enough for germination and there is no danger of frost at night.
Water
Water daily or as needed to keep the soil surface and wildflower seed moist for the first 2 weeks. This is critical for your wildflower seed to germinate and thrive. When enough water has been applied, Earth Science’s patented Water Right Crystals will expand and sparkle. When the crystals disappear it’s time to water again.

So surprised to see that it’s only 3% of wildflower seeds and 97% “inert matter”. Seems like a scam and should have read into the contents of the packaging.

I did a test patch 2 years ago (pictures) and in they did return in year 2 without any additional seeding. Because the test patch worked out so well, I removed an overgrown and unmanaged/weedy area and put down new soil and this mix plus another seed mix. I'll update with new pictures in a few months.

THIS MIXTURE WORKS WELL. only 3 days after planting I started to get some growth.too soon to tell what the flowers will be like.make sure to give it plenty of water to get it germinated and growing.

I was curious to try this wildflower mix as I keep a bed at the back of our lot for the bees and butterflies. I have plants coming up after following the directions. The only thing I have learned from buying these wildflower mixed seed packages that the first listed seed is crimson clover. It is a beautiful plant but it seems to take over the bed. The technology behind these seeds is impressive though. After I see which perennials come back, I will not buy any multi seed packages of wildflowers that contain crimson clover.

I’ve used this mix in years past with no problems, the one I just received has a sell by date of 07-31-22 in one spot and 10-31-22 in another spot. Hoping it still works this year.
