Everything was in reasonable shape for used. Got a white Wii U main system, tablet controller, HDMI cable, Wii Sensor bar and Nintendoland Game. Probably would have been better if the seller had reset and removed the parental lock on the system but found a workaround online if you're even moderately technical.

Excellent gaming system fun for the kids and us adults between the age of 4 to 50 you can buy all the major hit titles from all Nintendo systems from $4.99 to $9.99 for NES systems to N64 games the price goes higher for the newer stuff. This is your best value this one is 8gb the black system is 32gb either way you will need a external HDD if you buy digital you will fill the 32gb up with just 3 of the Wii U games so you are better off buying the 8gb system and using the money you saved to buy and external HDD and still have $20 left over. Also the white ones look nicer to me they don't show smudges and fingerprints like the black one plus if you collect Nintendo stuff the white one will be more sought after due to them being far more rare than the black ones. It's a Nintendo system in FULL 1080p High Definition OF COURSE IT'S AMAZINGLY FUN and very addictive haha. Review completed by a 34 year old male.

The Wii U is great!GAMEPADI rolled my eyes at the screened controller the first time I saw it. It was unnecessary, added to the cost, and just not innovative. After using the Wii Controller, I was pleasantly surprised. Great for when I can't find my glasses too! Though, the added cost is still a concern I have for the system. Accounting for more than 1/2 of the base production price! Not worth it, but an enjoyable feature nonetheless. Most importantly, it functions as an easier and quicker remote controller for menus and interfaces for applications like Netflix. Which can be a hassle! A stylus and screen in front of your eyes makes the process easier than any other system out there.GRAPHICSGraphically, I had been told that the other gaming systems of this gen are far more advanced; however, the images are crisp, and even better when comparing cross-platform titles. So any complain about graphics shouldn't be directed at the console, but rather, the game developers...though, I will say I think it's a difference in style, but not quality. I love the graphical styles of first and second party Nintendo developers. Hyper-realism isn't necessarily better aesthetically.GAMESMust have titles:-- Mario Kart 8-- Wonderful 101-- Windwaker HD-- Super Smash Bros 4-- Fire Emblem X Shin Megami Tensei-- Hyrule Warriors-- Legend of Zelda: Wii U-- Mario Party 10-- Star Fox Wii U-- Bayonetta 2-- SplatoonAs you can see, there are not many console sellers that have been released, but many on the list are due by the end of the year, and other due next year. Well, many do like ZombiU, Deus Ex, and Pikmin. Just not my thing. The launch of the system relied upon 2D/2.5D platformers, which feel outdated. I am a retro-gamer, but still, graphically, the modern videogame feels lacking, unambitious, and linear in that style. Very few large, open concept, fantasy inspired worlds to traverse, which all of it's predecessors had.Essentially, the Wii U and other consoles this gen are selling slower, the videogame industry is cyclical and hopefully rebounding as it did from the XBOX/NGC generation, to the PS3/Wii/XBOX360 generation, when videogames saw the most sales unlike any other time period. So, games are a bit disappointing as far as quantity, and perhaps diversity. However, the main staples are there, Mario Kart, Smash Bros, LoZ, as well as some new innovations. Hopefully more exciting titles are to come after developers gain more confidence after christmas sales. I think the Mario Kart to Smash Bros, two-one-hit, along with supporting titles, will help bolster the system confidence. Also, the system would benefit from increasing it's N64 and NGC downloadable content.COMPATIBILITY+ Wiimotes compatible! (Saves $$$)+ Wii titles compatible.+ Virtual Console (Everything up to NGC)+ Easy-to-use Internet Browser- No DVD/BluRay Player (Less Popular, but still a disappointment)- Same lame/ugly miisGraphics: 9.0 ( Excellent HD and Nintendo Style)Wii Gamepad: 7.5 (fun and useful/not quite worth the $$$)Games: 8.0 (Low Quantity/Poor launch year of 2D platformers/Excellent E3 and Revival with exciting new game announcements)Compabitility: 8.0 (Nothing new and exciting, but other consoles don't support backwards compatibility!)I would give the console between an 8 and 9. However, this score will improve if more substantive games are produced.

(Quick note: If you're worried about this in comparison to the Deluxe version, I wouldn't worry. I have two games downloaded onto the hard drive already, did all the updates for the console, and I'm still doing fine on storage. You can use a USB flash drive or external hard drive if you need more space.)I decided to pick this up after borrowing my friend's Wii-U and playing it for a weekend. I already have an Xbox 360, but I was ready for something new. The PS4 and Xbox One look great, but the Wii-U is in it's own category of creativity. People call it gimmicky (to each their own), but I happen love the tablet controller and it's extra functionality. You can play full games on the tablet alone and even watch your video apps on just the tablet. Pretty awesome if you're trying not to wake your roommate.Something worth noting here; I am not a "Nintendo fan boy". I don't even really care for Mario games and I've only played one Zelda game in my life. It sounds odd I know, but even I am pleased with this console. There is a great line up of games coming out for this thing in the next year or so (aside from your typical Mario stuff). I'm currently playing Scribblenauts: Unlimited, Nano Assault Neo, and Street Fighter 2 Turbo. The Miiverse is actually a pretty neat social network built fully with a profile, friend requests, follows, activity feeds, etc.. You can post screenshots of your game, mid-game, to the Miiverse and seamlessly go back to your game. You don't have to close the out of the game or anything. You can even pause mid-game, bring up the Wii menu, open the internet browser (which works great and so far, better than the IE app on the 360) and do whatever, then close out and go right back to your game. Gamers are pretty picky nowadays, but by my standard: this IS a next gen console, people. Also, the e-shop is very clean and easily laid out, filled with great oldschool games and new games alike to download directly to your console. It seems very secure as well. Now is a good time to pick one of these up because the game line up is much stronger now than it was at launch and this thing is really going to take off in the next year. Indie games are jumping to the Wii-U along with some big AAA games. You won't be sorry! (coming from a gamer who doesn't like Mario).
