Allows automation of environment. I have my fan setup to turn on automatically if the temperature in the room rises above 72 degrees and turn off if the temperature drops below 66. The small size makes it easy to forget it is there. Temperature and humidity updates every 15 seconds to save battery power.

I put two of these on my boat that is kept at a marina so that I can make sure the engine heater is working when it is below freezing outside. I connected it to the marina WIFI and it has been very reliable for more than a year. It automatically reconnects when I bring the boat back to the marina. The battery life is good (2 months or more) and you can set alert temps in the app. It keeps a history log of the temp/humidity and will also alert you when the batteries are getting low. There is a paid service that will send SMS text or call you but I have not tried that. I already had several devices at my home that use the "SmartLife" app and these temp devices can use that same app seamlessly.

Seems simple enough, connect it to your network and be able to control another device based on temperature and/or humidity. In my case, I wanted to use it to trigger a regular fan to turn on or off based on the temperature in the room. First off, there are no instructions that really detail exactly how to program it properly so you never really know if you have it programmed correctly. I reset it and started over at least a dozen times. Using the Smart Home app it connected (or so I thought) quickly and easily; however, whenever I would go in to check network status it would constantly tell me it wasn't connected or it needed to be closer to the router. I started out with it sitting right next to my router and it still have me the same result. I hard reset my router/modem and tried again and it looked as if that might have been the issue but that happiness was short lived because within a matter of seconds it went right back to no network connection. It's possible this one was defective but given that the instructions were not really clear and concise I don't think I will order a replacement.

I installed one sensor in each of my two attics in my home in an effort to monitor and control each hot attic space. Now when I get a notification of temperature increase above my chosen setting, I turn on the attic gable vent fan to begin air circulation- to remove the hot air and pull in the cooler air.The temperature sensors have been installed for two weeks and are working as expected- and as described in the product information. They connected to my mesh WiFi system very easily. The iPhone Smart Life app keeps a temperature and use history of both units for me.I am very pleased with this product. Will update if needed.

Quite Good! I'm happy to report this Gaoducash Wifi Temperature Sensor performs exactly as expected! I Love It!The only one of its kind in our humble abode, with this unit, i simply ask, "Alexa, what's the bedroom temperature?" (or i can simply say, "Alexa, Bedroom Temperature") and my little Echo device promptly replies with confident accuracy. So that's GOOD!There's only one tiny little issue. When i visually look at my Alexa app (for iPhone), the only thing i can see is the "Humidity"; no temperature. Early on, I had dinged this review one star for this issue (originally rating it only 4 stars). however, seeing the temperature on my iPhone really ISN'T why i purchased this unit. I bought it so Alexa can verbally "tell" me what the bedroom temp is. And since this feature works just fine - i got no complaints. So with a recent change of heart, i have since upgraded this review to a proper 5-star rating. This Gaoducash two AA batteries (included) which last over a year.Don't get spooked by that ominous warning, "Frequently returned item". So long as your phone's bluetooth is ON during setup - it's extremely easy. If i had to guess, i think - when this first came out - most people (me included) weren't as skilled at connecting bluetooth & wifi devices as we are today. So early on, people thought the device wasn't working, when in reality - we just weren't used to it yet.In summary - this Gaoducash Wifi Temperature Sensor is an excellent device. Good quality materials, bluetooth connects very easily, affordably priced, works & plays well with my Alexa Echo. I would enthusiastically recommend you buy this product.I was not compensated for this review in any way.
