UPS driver brought it upstairs. It as easy to set up. The vent tube is amazing! I let it sit unused for 24 hours, so the working fluid would settle. The plug has a button for reset, when pressed, it works. I plugged it into my Ecoflow power station Delta 2000, with solar panel in the window, and the heat pump works fine. It has a nice fan which make a pleasant breeze in the room, cool which cools the temp, heat which heats the temp, and the temp is easy to set. It uses about 1400 watts to work. I don't like the dehumidify, because it cools the air too cold, without me being able to limit it. Now the vent tube is a little tricky so here is my advice. I failed to use the little plastic screw to fasten the two panels of the window covering; I used a metal screw; but it worked. The foam insulation doesn't wrap around the edge of the window covering real well, so you might want to order some foam with a strong adhesive about three or four inches wide, and long enough to all sides of the window panel. Moreover, my bedroom is now wonderful, so much nicer, cool, warm, just right. I love the heat pump. It cost less than some purses you could have bought instead, but it's another example of Chinese expertise in design and manufacture. A big hug to the Chinese people.

I bought this for the heating function for now with intention for ac in summer, but no matter how many towels and rolls of tape used to insulate the flex pipe to the window, then the window and all around the back of the machine, the frigid cold exhaust air still came out of the bottom of the machine instead of the exhaust hole and created a freezing cold draft through the whole space. It put out barely warm air, but couldn't keep up to overcome its own frigid exhaust air. It also made a smooth white noise until the heater ran a few minutes, then made an unbearably loud rattling noise that no one could talk over or hear the tv over. In troubleshooting it blames this on uneven flooring, but it was on hardwood. It also creates extreme negative air pressure which caused some dangerous backdrafting with gas appliances in the home. These kinds of defects make it a zero star unfortunately.

I have a quad level (4 level) home that is 3600 sq ft and has a huge sun room. I bought one of these initially for the sun room years ago and the Ac works very well against the hottest days. A stand up swivel fan helps distribute the air more efficiently. The heater in the sun room kept up until it gets to the forties or below outside because it is not insulated. However my central AC unit died and instead of paying 8k for a new one for the size of my house I bought 3 more of these for less than $1500 and put one on each level. Now I have much more control over the temperature around the house individually. If we are not on that level I barely run that unit. It saves tremendously on the gas replacing the house heat and the electricity replacing the air conditioner. Plus every one can set the house level they are on at the temperature they like and no one is complaining how one level is uncomfortable because we try to get another level just right using the central air system. However a couple things to keep in mind. The units do dehumidify while running so it will generate some water at times that you can have collected in a bucket or as in my sunroom I drilled a hole to the outside an let it continuously feed outside. Also this has to feed the exhaust out a window. It gives off hot air when running the AC and cold air when running the heater. Here is my set up for the 4 units. The finished basement is large and has a separate laundry room. During the summer it stays cool so no unit is down there. It comes to the top floor and is used to keep the kids rooms cool. You can hook it in one bedroom and use a fan to blow it into the other rooms. During the winter this unit is in the basement for heat. Switch the drier to feed the heat inside through a filter I found on Amazon and I adapted this unit to exhaust through the drier vent. The water drains through a plastic hose to the floor drain in the laundry room. I had to get more drier hose for this to reach outside the laundry room and sit in the finished area. One unit each is kept year round in our master bedroom with bathroom and on the 2 middle floors for heat or AC. During the winter the kids rooms use portable ceramic programmable heaters. This set up is saving a lot of money. Also the units have on/off timers that I set while we are gone to go off when no one will be there or come on a couple hours before we get home so each level can be where we want it. These newer units I bought this year barely generate any water. The older one generates a lot more. I highly recommend this product.
