Prior to this combination Silcock, I had two separate Silcock's and then a hose from both spigots to one and adjusted as needed. This method worked great for a while until the "Y" shaped hose dry rotted, after that happened, I installed this combination hot and cold-water Silcock which works even better. This was fairly easy to install, kind of could use a longer stem on both pipes but it worked out ok though as I added an extension before sticking it through the wall. I love that I can get the desired temperature water with the turn of the knobs and there is no "Y" hose that is needed anymore. These are working out great and I do not have any leaks with them so far!

This faucet was exactly what I needed for the outside of my shop. I needed to have access to hot water on occasion and trying to fill buckets or trying to run a hose from a sink was not very convenient. The faucet seems to be well made, similar to others that you would find at your local hardware store, but with hot water included. It doe have the frost free feature and is made of brass and chrome. It looks nice and I am hoping that it will stand up to the environment. Install was easy since it was a new install and I was running new lines anyway. So far so good, it seems to work well and it was cheaper than others I looked at, so it was a good deal in my opinion to get the convenience of having hot water available outside.
