Wide toe box!!! Great value!!! Super comfortable!!!Lightweight, good looking, stable, comfortable (I use my own sole inserts). One tiny complaint/suggestion: On the inside of the heel, the lining has a small opening/hole. It is not clear why, but over months of wear, that opening expands, and the foam padding comes out. I will buy another pair and try to patch that hole before wearing them.

Was looking for a wider shoe for light running after leg surgery and needed NOT to be thrown forward with a high end running shoe that makes foot go down into shoe...nueropothy is brutal and these shoes act like the natural foot letting me stay on the ground and gives space for my feet/toes in shoe. I will go back to a HOKA soon, but for the price, these shoes are great...feel good and let my feet breathe...thank you Amazon for great deals!!!!

I now have 2 pairs of Whitin Shoes. Both are zero drop and have wide toe boxes. One is barefoot and the other has thick soles. They are very comfortable and durable.

First off I have been loving these for about 2 weeks now. Exactly what I was looking for: affordable, wide toe box, zero drop but with some midsole cushion. I also tried the converse like hitops which were trash in comparison.Out of the box they felt decent, but after wearing them for a few days I could feel my feet getting sore due to the poor insoles. Only thing there is a thin foam piece that does very little. I replaced them with some insoles I bought for some old shoes I no longer wear, and wow they took this shoe to the next level. Comfort is as good as it can get standing on my feet for 10+ hrs.Now the minor downsides. First off as mentioned the insoles. The insoles I put in there are as much or more than the shoes themselves. I’ll come back to this in a bit and why I don’t mind. The major flaw seems to be build quality. I don’t see these lasting too long. I see the outsole separating before the shoe is worn out. You can actually see the glue and how they are attached. In fact the toe on my left foot is already stating to separate a little. With that said the benefits outweigh the cons. I don’t mind using the nice insoles 1) because o already have them laying around and 2) they’ll last longer than a pair of shoes, so I can just reuse them. Yes these shoes will probably wear out faster than I’d like but at their price I could buy 3x these versus one pair of Altra Lone Peaks.I’ll probably still invest in some lone peak hikers for when I want something nicer and a mid top, that way I can switch between them and make them both last longer.

For years I have struggled with the fit of shoes, and spent money, on doctors and orthotics. They have all failed me.I saw the shoe on Amazon, it looked good so I took a chance.I am glad I did. (Why) there is plenty of room for my toes, on the side and top, I have average ankles and heals the fit is perfect no riding up or down! The shoe is very light and airy.I have been told that I need cushioned heal with stability.(I know now that is Not so for me )The zero drop shoes was the best thing for me, my walking is way more stable and my ankle pains are gone and other problems are healing.I have put almost 80km walking on them and they are holding up good. (No rough abuse)I now have purchased second pair just in case they are no longer available. This product works the best for me, and they look good too although they need some more colors.(Little note doctors are not always correct and shoe company's promote hype, trust your gut and take some chances to find what works for you!) I did and its paying off 👍👍👍( Note I did upgrade the insole to Marks work warehouse 2 pack Duracare insoles)

Wore these shoes for a solid week. At first they were a little uncomfortable but after a day they felt amazing.I have Charcot Marie Tooth Disease and it is super hard for me to find comfortable and stylish shoes to fit my needs. The wide Toe Box, zero drop, and light weight are a huge plus. I was a little skeptical on the price but on my god are they a great shoe. Slip resistance is great. Not too flexible and for what I need out of shoe the functionality is great!I will definitely order more pairs. The Whitin brand of shoes meets and exceeds my expectations and highly recommend.

UPDATE: I put a few miles in on the treadmill today. These felt great! My toes didn't feel cramped at all. I'm looking forward to trying them out on the road. I'm raising my review from four stars to five because, so far, these shoes are just as good, if not better (because the toe box is perfect), than shoes I own that were triple the price.Original: I haven’t run in these yet, but I wanted to provide some info to help you with your decision on what size to get. I wear size 11.5 wide in most shoes. I can sometimes go up to 12 and rarely down to 11. I ordered these in both size 11 and 12.First, the 12s were too long even though the size chart said to allow up to half an inch for wiggle room. That’s too much; my heel was slipping and no amount of lace-up magic could fix it. Speaking of lacing up, these shoes lack the extra hole that EVERY other running shoe I’ve seen has that is needed for lace-lock.Next, the 11s are just a little tight at the tips of my toes, but I’m hoping they will stretch a bit. The width is perfect. I would suggest if you wear a half size like me, to go down a half size. They feel pretty comfortable. The quality seems decent enough, especially at this price point.I’ll be back with an update after I get a couple runs in.

I recently developed some foot problems, and I needed to switch to shoes with a wide toe box and a zero drop heel. I'd gotten a pair of Whitins' minimalist shoes - and they're good, but I'm old, and my feet were having a hard time adjusting to the thin, very flexible soles. The thin soles exercise your feet a lot - which is good in the long run, but my feet will take awhile to build that strength. In the meantime, I want to walk longer distances. This new model is perfect for me.It has the wide toe box, and the zero drop heel - but the sole is not quite as flexible as the minimalist version, and it has some cushioning. It's not at all as rigid or cushioned as regular trainers, which is great - a lot of the feel of the surface you're walking on comes through, and the soles also flex enough to exercise and strengthen your feet, unlike traditional trainers. They're a good intermediate choice on the way to wearing minimalist shoes - or just good on their own.Another benefit for me is that the uppers are made of a tough but stretchy fabric which molded around my bunion, one of the issues I'm dealing with. The shoes don't irritate it, saving me one more problem. All in all, I'm very happy with these.Update - 8 months later, and I'm still very happy with these shoes. They still look new, they're still comfortable. My feet are stronger and I can walk two or three miles again with no foot pain. The foot issues I had have improved a lot, in large part because of these shoes. My toes have spread because they have enough room, now. That's helped my bunion, and the circulation in my feet. It's just more comfortable to walk in these than in any other shoes I've owned.
