Whiteside Machine Company has been in the router bit business for over 30 years providing customer with quality products while at the same time striving to achieve complete customer satisfaction. Several woodworking magazines have tested Whiteside versus the competition and selected Whiteside as the winner for best router bits available in the market. Whiteside Machine Company was founded in 1970 as a general purpose machine shop in the basement of Bill & Bobbie Whiteside's home. Located in Western North Carolina near the furniture manufacturing town of Hickory, the company was often involved in making repairs or special parts for the furniture and woodworking field. A strong commitment to customer problem-solving, a can-do attitude, and innovative ideas, along with a growing core of dedicated employees, helped the business evolve into a manufacturer of woodworking equipment and tooling. Primarily through repeat business and referrals, the tooling business continued to grow to meet a demand for quality production router bits as well as custom application tooling. Today, Whiteside Machine occupies a 40,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility and produces a complete line of solid carbide and carbide tipped router bits. Whiteside's quality, innovation, and customer commitment is still present in our superb product line, in the design of custom tooling to fill special customer requirements, and in the development of special machinery and tooling for our own manufacturing use. As always, Whiteside Machine is continuously striving to improve our product through new technology, improved production techniques, and ongoing research and development efforts; along with rigid quality control, vital customer feedback and extensive field testing. Works as you would wish just enough clean radius to make handling the processed edge feel comfortable. Clean smooth cut with DeWalt handheld cordless router.

Very clean cuts, works great. Used it to round over the corners on over 40 drawers and pullouts and still sharp.

Ordered this bit for a large custom trim job after seeing an online review claiming it's quality. Hadn't even used it for one window casing, and the pilot is nowhere to be found.

I don't usually use router bits with solid pilots, due to bad burning. But I wanted to try a 1/16" round over bit to soften finished edges. This bit worked beautifully, especially at inside corners, with no burning, as long as I kept it moving. No funny looking eased edges that don't get into the inside corners. This bit nailed it. Leaves the wood still looking square and crisp, just with softened edges - not looking too rounded over. Try it. You'll like it!

Edged about 400 ft of pine and poplar trim. Cutter seemed to be doing a good job but the brass guide spun on the cutter and came off quickly after.

Whiteside makes up a good sized chunk of my tooling arsenal. The quality/cost curve is pretty spot on. I believe they are fabricated in the U.S. as another plus.

Great little bit for doing a slight roundover on pieces that are assembled. I use it mainly on cabinet face frames. The small pilot bushing allows the bit to get into the corners of your piece, unlike comparable bits that have a bearing, they'll always leave a small section untouched. Well worth the money.

I have been making shaker cabinet doors. In the past I have been relieving the edges with sandpaper. The bit does it quicker and more uniformly. The tiny bearing allows it to get into the corners.A good dea.
