Fit was the same as original. The filtering portion appeared to allow more flow due to less density of filter. This may be due to there being a newer replacement code than the original installed filters code. Overall they should do the job intended

Fit well, easy to install. New filter appears much more porous than original. Very scanty coating of charcoal on the new filters.

This is the exact same Whirlpool part for much less. Whirlpool charges three times as much on their website. I compared the part that came with the microwave and this new part and they are exactly the same in every way down to the markings. I am VERY happy to find this OEM replacement part on Amazon.

Half the price of the one on Whirlpool's site (they probably just don't want to be bothered with end user orders). Fits the space properly and is a genuine part shipped in sealed Whirlpool cardboard packaging.-2 stars for Whirlpool: One for putting this filter behind a panel at the top of the microwave that needs to be unscrewed in order to access. For something that needs to be replaced ~ every 6 mos that's just not user-friendly design. The second minus star is for making the frame on newer filters wider - seems like that'd be a good thing, making the filter more stable, but it just decreases actual filtration surface.

Easy to replace and a good fit on my Whirlpool. The fan works the same as always, so it is not blocking airflow.

Could not get this filter at Lowes or Wal-Mart in our city so of course let us look on Amazon, there we found both, ordered Saturday arrived Monday putIt the microwave, prefect this is amazing be cause until Saturday I didn't even know there was another filter at the top of my microwave. The message need clean filter has stop appearing on the panel. So glad I was able to find this filter. Great price!
