Quite frankly, I've got a large dome. This helm has plenty of space inside, and due to the front hinge, allows me to fit it snug to my brain holder. Very well made, and after a quick cleanup of the shipment grease (it prevents rust, don't panic) it's a lovely piece.

Well crafted. Very oily but I cleaned it mostly. The only issue is that this helmet is made for giant heads. I am 5 feet 7 inches tall and this helmet does not fit me very well. Its very wobbly and it is awkward to wear. That was my mistake, had I made sure it was my fit it would have been perfect. Anyways 5 stars because I have no complaints other than the size but as I said it was my mistake. If it fits you, you will be satisfied in my opinion. It comes with a small stand to put it as decoration.

Absolutely love this for my suit of armor. Perfect for renaissance festivals and LARP. Caution though. Thicker-neck people may want to skip this. I have a 17-inch neck and there wasn't much room left. Very oily when received, but for any metal-based product, this is to be expected. The visor will not stay open. But all in all, a great buy.

I bought this as a gift to a man, I don't know. I walked by and witnessed him escort a young lady to her car. The weather in the U.P. of Michigan can be brutal. He was chivalrous. I asked him if he had a suit of armor. He smiled and said, no. That's, why he owns it now.

I really like this helmet. It's well crafted, and properly made. However, this helmet had a few downsides -While you can wear chainmail under it, you'd likely need an arming cap to wear underneath the chainmail. Hoodies + chainmail wont make the helmet fit. Another big downside is it came a little rusty, which can be a huge deal breaker. For me, I wanted a worn look so I don't mind it.Another downside is that if you have a massive head, (like myself) your chin will have to rest on top of where the visor sets, which can get super uncomfortable after a while. In conclusion, great helmet, well made - but can be a bit overly clunky and can get rusty.

I ordered the medieval knights helmet for my son for Christmas. He collects helmets and I knew that he would be thrilled to add to his collection. What happened next hasn't happened to me before. When I received the product, it was the wrong product. When I write "wrong product" I mean it wasn't even remotely what I had ordered. I had seen other reviews of this company and saw that this situation wasn't the first time this had happened. When I received the incorrect product, I was very bummed out because, heck, it was Christmas and my son wasn't going to get what he really, really wanted. I corresponded with the company and they sent me the correct product, albeit a month later. The bottom line is this: the knight's helmet is AWESOME and my son is thrilled. The company followed through and made things right. The knight's helmet is very cool. As other reviewers mentioned, it comes packed in manufacturing oil. There is so much oil that it saturated the shipping box that it was shipped in. That didn't bug me a bit because I put on rubber gloves and used a commercial degreaser and cleaned it up. It is brilliant and looks fantastic. Kudos folks. It works well as a display item. I can't say how it would feel to wear but it offers quite a specimen as a novelty item.

Same problem as the other people. They sent me a different helmet than the one pictured. That's not a huge issue though, because the helmet I got is still nice. The thing that bothers me the most is that there are no instructions on how to assemble this helmet. It might just be common sense- however, when I put it together it doesn't seem to fit right. Also, The visor is able to slide down to look out of it, but when I slide it up into place, it just kind of slides back down and hangs there. The helmet is nice, but overall I wouldn't recommend it. They seem to have a problem with shipping the right helmet, so the chances of you getting the one in the picture are pretty slim, I'd say. I'm considering sending it back and getting a different one from another company.

Great helmet overall. Fits great, with enough room for as thick padding as you'd like. Looks pretty massive, but once you put it on you see it just has a little breathing/wiggle room. Weighs between 5-10 lbs, which isn't bad. Most of that will be on your shoulders, but it won't strain you neck if you happen to lean forward. The steel is strong, but a little thin feeling, like a heavy duty soda can. It doesn't bend or dent when being handled, but if you were to get hit in a large open spot like the back or slam it in a door or something, it would definitely give. Considering it's under $100 though, this is pretty much expected.Glad I read the comments mentioning oil/grease before it arrived, or I would have been a little shocked. Despite being double bagged, it had enough oil to soak the bottom of the box. A thorough once over with a dry cloth and a touch up with some cleaner took ~90% of it off. You could probably get it totally spotless, but I left a bit on the protect the metal, especially in the edges & joints where moisture could accumulate.
