The Removal tool worked great, but the installation tool is essentially a cheap 12" long bolt that bent while using it. I had to go to the hardware store and buy a grade 8 bolt, unfortunately the only one I could find was a 6" bolt. I got it to work though.

This bearing removal/install kit is your typical Chinese quality… some parts good, others not so good. I used it to replace front and rear wheel bearings on my Harley. Removing the bearings when well without any issues. Just remember to lube the threads before use (oil, grease… doesn’t matter).Installing the bearings was a different story. The first one went in with a little difficulty initially, the rest were a problem. The 12” long installation bolt was machined off center (see pic) That combined with the play from M12 bolt diameter being quite a bit smaller than the diameter of the holes in the installer plates resulted in the bearings going in crooked initially. See pics of M12 black bolt vs 1/2” threaded steel rod. I had to pull the bearing back out and start all the rest by using the installer plate and brass mallet. Once they were in about 1/4”, they went in OK the rest of the way using the installer.I tried to find a hardened replacement bolt to no avail (I don’t think the threads of a class A bolt will hold up) so I ordered a 1/2” x 12” threaded grade B7 rod on Amazon (for $11) used it and 1/2” washers and nuts I had to replace the bolt in the kit for future work. I could have returned it and rolled the dice on another kit, but this route seemed like less of a hassle. All the other parts worked well. The cost of the kit and replacement hardware is still way less than a US or German made kit, but I doubt that even with my fix it would hold up in a commercial operation. Also be aware that the 12” installation bolt is not long enough to install both rear bearings without removing your belt/chain drive sprocket. You can get an 18” long threaded rod that will to avoid that issue, but then it won’t fit in the case. The included case is all plastic of decent quality and works well, but don’t expect it to hold up to a lot of abuse.

It worked fantastic on my 2007 FLHX Street Glide rear wheel bearings. I added some anti-seize on the threads and it was effortless. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because I had to remove the pulley in order for it to reach the left side bearing, if the internal puller was 1/2” to 1” longer this would solve that problem.

Friend of mine recently had to have Front Wheel bearings replace on his Dyna, between the labor, parts and tire cost (needed replaced) and mounting, he was out over 300 bucks. 38 bucks seems a reasonable price to pay to remove and install my own bearings. I had recently had to do the rear wheel bearings on my Road King and that was a 200 dollar bill just for the bearings and having the old one removed and the new ones pressed in.

A little complicated if you have never pulled/Insta bearings before on a motorcycle, but there’s enough videos out there to understand the paper “directions”. Do one side and then you get the hang of it. Just be sure to insert expander puller until you hear/feel it click onto bearing. Then it’s pretty simple. Installing was a breeze.Happy with purchase.

The installation bolt does not properly fit the included nut so the threads were completely shredded with the second bearing 3/4 of the way in even with a lot of lube on them. I was able to finish it with a mallet but if I had to do the second wheel I would have been out of luck. I will replace it with a higher grade bolt but you should just buy a better kit.

Nice heavy tool. My first tool was sent and I never receive it. Called and a 2nd tool was sent right away. I would do business with this company again. I will send the original tool back if it shows up. Thank you for superb service.
