This Wheaton straight-sided jar has a soda-lime glass body and a white polypropylene screw-on cap with a poly-vinyl liner. The wide-mouth jar accepts large solid samples, and has straight sides that allow for complete removal of contents. The white polypropylene cap is suitable for use with solids, mild acids, alkalis, solvents, alcohols, oils, and aqueous solutions. The poly-vinyl cap liner provides a moisture barrier. This bottle comes with an adhesive hazardous communication label for content identification and safety information, which can be applied over the top of a closed lid to create a tamper-evident seal. The soda-lime glass conforms to United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) Type III requirements for solvent, chemical, and sample storage, such as some dry powder types, and use in dry-heat sterilization applications. This bottle is suitable for storing soil and environmental samples, and for use in mixing and storing liquid or solid samples, including mild acids, solvents, and alcohols.

Using these for an easy to open replacement for plastic prescription bottles. Clear view of what is left in the bottle. Takes paper labels well. Good for arthritic hands.

I have an Art Studio and my other half ordered these so that I would stop using our glass containers from the kitchen for art projects. Now I can mix up paint and dyes for my air brush and other project ideas. Great size (they have many other sizes to choose from) and they seal well. I label everything on the glass facing forward for quick grab and go.

The jars and lids are as described but there were no seals nor labels included.I don't need them but, if you do need them, keep that in mind.I'm also pretty sure that the lining has BPA in it so I remove the lining before using the jars. The lids, made of polypropylene, leach less BPA than other plastics and can withstand higher heat.
