But package cannot be opened by hand, won't tear, can't be pulled open, requires knife or scissors to remove cellophane before filter can be installed

The item is fitting but the quality of the filter needs to improve. When using it with my bidet especially with Southern California Municipal water, the water's chemicals are very apparent and you can tell it's barely doing the filtration job.

Maybe the label-wrapper is just backwards, but to match the male and female threads to my bidet water supply, the arrow labeled "FLOW" is the reverse of what I need. So either the manufacturer was sloppy or these will simply not work in my bidet toilet seat configuration.. (Brondell)
