This charger got a bit of an unorthodox use in my case. I'm not using it as a charger, but rather as a power supply for a very large power draw item. I've got an old police lightbar as a garage piece. It's the big halogen light rotating set up from the 90s. That means it draws a ton of power. My 60 amp battery charger on engine start would struggle to power all of the lightbar's numerous features. This charger though makes it look brighter and better than it has since it was new. It has no trouble pushing out enough current for the lightbar to run every feature simultaneously.I've now mounted the charge to the underside of a shelf. It's a bit heavy, but is easy to mount with some #6 screws.

I have been using this on my bench at home as a power supply. I looked at the output with an oscilloscope and the power is reasonably clean. It is advertised to provide clean power even without a battery and that is what I am seeing on the bench.No problems so far. A lot of power for a reasonable price. Worth considering.

This came very well packed and secured and was just as described in the ad when it arrived. No damage to it whatsoever. It is a very heavy duty and durable piece. It definitely has some weight to it. You can still easily maneuver it and carry it wherever you need it to be. My husband was easily able to recharge the battery he needed to with this. Everything easily hooked up as it should. It functions just as it's described to. Very easy and straightforward. The instruction manual that it comes with is easy to read so it was very helpful. Everything fit exactly as it should with the proper chords to recharge. This gets excellent voltage and everything is very heat resistant because of the thick wiring. Definitely an amazing value for your money if you have been looking for something like this. Solid 10/10!

This is a nice solid converter that seems of high quality. I do a lot of camper upgrades and this unit puts out the proper amps and voltage. You simply hook up your battery and to your 12volt bus bar for your 12v lines and boom, you charge your battery on shore power and provide your 12v circuits power or when the power goes out or your running off of battery everything still feeds right. I do like the little carry handle which almost would make me want to use it as a testing unit instead. Works well and does what it is supposed to. It does say Lithium on the unit, however lithium and lifepo4 batteries use a different charging technique and require a higher voltage charge than the 13.5 this puts out. So I would double check your battery requirements if you are using lithium. Also, I am not sure why other reviewers are saying it is not for outdoor use. I do not know any camper or RV that puts their converter on the outside of the camper. So I guess I will add dont mount this outside of your camper or even in a pond. If that is your intent, please consult an electrician first.

I ordered this for an enclosed trailer that we are rebuilding for multiple uses and needed a power converter. We haven't installed this yet, but I did do testing in the shop and from what I am able to tell, this should work just fine for our purposes. The power outpost sits rock solid without wavering from the 13.53 that you see in the final photo. It's not terribly large so it won't get in the way, just make sure that you leave the back open enough to allow the fan to breath. The one thing that needs to be pointed out and should be stated more clearly in the description is that this is not waterproof or in any way designed to get wet. Make sure that you are aware of this and plan for it and if you are looking for one that is you might want to keep looking. Other than that, I have no problem recommending this charger to anyone looking for one. If, however, something come up or it fails I will come back and update my review.

NOTE: My initial testing was using a good old lead-acid battery, but the sticker on top says it works for Lithium batteries as well.This unit is pretty well packaged, with a carrying handle AND bolt-down mounting holes in the base. A nice high-current sliding contact connector integral to the cable makes service easier too.No fancy stuff, just set your voltage if needed with a pot and flip it on.Price seems in line.
