I am in my 70's and shoveling snow is extremely hard on my neck, shoulders, and back. I bought this because it did not cost much more than it would cost for me to pay for someone to shovel my driveway a couple of times, and also because it had good reviews. I had been a little concerned about the reviews that said it was hard to put together, but actually it wasn't difficult at all and only took a few minutes (didn't even require tools). I had wanted something lightweight, relatively small, and corded so that I didn't have to worry about charging a battery or powering it with gasoline. This one fit the bill. It arrived quickly (right before a snowstorm hit), and it worked very well. It throws the snow around 20 feet or so, so all you have to do is push the shovel like you normally would, which isn't very difficult because the snow doesn't build up in the shovel. I would recommend this to anyone who wants something lightweight and easy to use to shovel their driveway and front walks.

This electric shovel is powerful and easy to use. Assembly was fast and easy. The shovel is light weight and easy maneuverability.

i hate shoveling snow, so i was excited to try one of these out. i had actually ordered a battery powered Worx one, but it is stuck in PA and due to the DC snow storm, no idea when it will arrive, so i ordered as i needed something for the storm. overall, it does work, but only so so.pros:- light weight and fairly easy to move around- very easy to operate- no hand fatigue as once the primary trigger is engaged, the safety trigger can be left aloneit does throw snow a good distance- never clogged. the outside was covered in snow, but the auger/discharge never once clogged, which was nice as i never had to stop to clean it outcons:- only throws snow in one direction. i managed to rectify this by using it on an angle, but seems silly that they couldnt modify the discharge chute a little- having a cord is tough. i know what i was getting into, but i didnt realize the cord would lock up b/c of the cold which makes it that much harder manage. i also couldnt reach the end of my driveway. again, this was mostly my fault as i knew i was getting a corded one, but i didnt expect this- while it does throw snow, it has a hard time getting down to the pavement. basically, it leaves a layer of snow behind and then ends up compacting it b/c you end up pushing it down so it doesnt slide around. i definitely didnt expect this.- all plastic primary parts (auger and ground scraping pad). i am assuming this was done for weight, so that makes sense, but still, would have been nicer to have a little more metal.

This item arrived almost completely assembled. This unit looks solid, lightweight, and if not abused, should be able to clear a decent pathway for us. I am just sorry we did not have this on hand for the big snow we experienced this year. This will easily take the place of a snow shove. I like that it is corded. So it will never run out of power. It will never need to be lubricated. It will never need fuel or oil. It will start immediately whenever we need it.

It is great for small driveway’s. Mine is two cars wide and about 25 feet long. Any larger and the cord would be a problem. It is light weight and easy to push.

Upon first use I thought it was great at the price--made it easy to move a good amount of snow quickly. Unfortunately it died after about 60 minutes of use across 2 days.Amazon was good enough to accept the return.
