DON"T FIT MY TRUCK...purchased what Westin & RealTruck said I needed & they are NO WAY CLOSE! Wrong mounting kit with Westin 27-1045. for my 1994 Chevy K3500 Crew Cab, Full Sized Bed, Dually, 4X4. All this infor was given to Westin & they gave me which Boards & Mounting Kit & rubber trim to Buy & it will not mount. This has to be the wrong mounting kit!

You DO have to purchase mounting kit vehicle specific. The box only comes with the two steps. They are molded plastic but have an aluminum bottom to strengthen it. With the mounts evenly dispersed it's very sturdy. I'm glad I did not get the ones with lights as the instructions are generalized and state you have to cut the holes for the lights if you buy the ones with.

Easy to install with the not included with running boards brackets ( purchased seperately). Unfortunatley these running boards are not as solid as the originals on my F250 crew cab.

Installed these on my 2013 Toyota Tundra Double Cab long bed with cap (topper). The boards come with 4 brackets per side but the rear end leaves about 15 inches unsupported and flexes way too much for my liking. I took a piece of angle iron and made an additional support that bolts to the frame and the running board. I think Westin is getting away with robbery selling a 93 inch running board with only four supports. Beware if you try these. The shorter 79 inch might be a better fit but I wanted these because of the double cab and 8 foot bed. This allows me to stand on the very end to clear snow off the cap. The bracket I made holds the very end of the extruded aluminum base and is very sturdy now. Just beware!

The Westin step boards were very easy to install on my 2012 Toyota Crewmax. As in other reviews, the way they attach the molded plastic piece to the aluminum base is weak at best (do not mess with the tabs, as they break easily). The boards have a good warranty hope I don't have to use it. Overall they look good for the price, but based upon the quality of the tabs that lock the pieces together I can only give 3 stars. Only time will tell if the overmolded piece will stay attached to the base.

The running boards were simple to install. I didn't even have to drill any holes. You might want to go on the company's website to double check if it will fit your vehicle.
