This Westbrass 3/8 in. O.D. x 20 in. annealed brass water closet supply riser, adds the finishing touch to any toilet installation. Its trimmable end allows cutting to length for easier installation. The top flat head portion attaches to the toilet ballcock, using a 7/8" nut. (Not included - comes with most toilets). Made from lead free brass and fully finished for exposed installation. Westbrass was founded in 1935 by two brothers, Jack and Aaron Kagan, to serve the needs of all plumbing wholesalers on the West Coast. The product lines at the time included items such as faucets, valves, malleable fittings, etc. After becoming the premier distributor of plumbing products, the company was bought in 1985 by Max Homami. Seeing a boom in the Home Improvement Industry, Mr. Homami had a vision to make Westbrass the leader in Kitchen & Bath Accessories.
The company currently manufactures its own products made of the highest quality materials. Product is what is says it is and would be nice. Unfortunately the quality of the finish flakes off when you bend it to fit!

Riser worked great but doesn’t come with the nut to connect to toilet tank. I bought Danco 81422 kit which includes a better rubber gasket (don’t use the metal washer).

This was a nightmare. Any bending at all, even the smallest bit and the finish would crack and peel off.

Out of the box, finish looks great. Once cut, the finish flaked off at pipe cutter contact area. Not bad as the nut and compression fitting would cover. However, once I placed a gentle bend (1/2 offset) using a spring bending tool, the finish flaked almost the entire bend area. It is not usable.
