It’s a cool skeleton and good quality, but the base broke immediately- it almost disintegrated and is beyond use at this point, so I’m not sure what to do or how to display it? I wish there was a substitute base we could purchase or something.

Description says the joints are mobile but I found that wasn't exactly true. Joints that I needed to move do not (like Subtalar joint for instance) and the fingers do not really flex. If you need to observe how joints move then this model isn't for you. The skeleton itself looks nice and would be great for looking at resting one orientation and learning muscle origin and insertion.Overall, it does not fit my needs and I'll be returning it.

This skeleton is super helpful for studying for my osteology quizzes and for my forensic anthropology program. I love that the bones are all cast separately but have been articulated so you can easily see how the whole picture comes together. However, there are a couple of things I wish were done better/differently:- There are lines along some of the bones from the cast molds, I wish they'd been filed off before I received the set.- Some of the fissures, meati, and fossa are not fully open - this can be confusing especially when studying the various holes of the skull.- In the thoracic cage, the ribs are not attached at the costal pits along the thoracic vertebrae. I'm not sure if this is so that you can see the pits, or if it was simply a mistake.- I do wish it was easier to take apart and subsequently put back together. Being fully articulated makes it difficult to see some features and/or fully view each bone in 360 degrees.- I wish I could have bought a version of the skeleton without the spinal cord, nerves, and vessels of the spine. I'm interested in the bones only, so these just get in my way.

So beautiful! This is a wonderfully detailed skeleton, well worth the price. The details are amazing, even has the hyoid bone! Looks like it was modeled from a real skeleton. Heavy, quality casting material and the pole is actually metal so it will support the weight of the skeleton, which is significant. The bones in the hands and feet are all articulated (not fused like most skeletons), held together by a spring and elastic cord on the inside. Only issue is with the packaging. The box was too small, the bones were almost completely through the end cardboard and there was no padding. There was some scuffing on the high processes and the hyoid bone was broken but nothing requiring a return (glued the hyoid bone together). Hopefully the company will change the packaging because this is a really fantastic product.

I am a first year medical student and a kinesthetic learner. I really wanted a life-sized anatomical skeleton to help me master anatomy and begin to think about surgical technique/ spatial proportions. I just received my model today and everything about it exceeded my expectations. It was well packaged and easy to assemble. On the stand it's about the height of my husband (6'2"). Proportions and size for a typical adult are realistic. There are lots of details in this model including moveable joints (including all the phalanges). The moveable hyoid bone was surprising and pretty awesome. The bones are beautifully constructed and nice and heavy in weight. Nothing about this presents as simplified, flimsy or cheesy. These are on par with the models we have at school. I'm thrilled with my purchase! Highly recommended for future docs or any healthcare professional student!

Real nice inexpensive skeleton. Just as good as college skeletons. It was not bad setting it up out of the box. Took all of 5 minutes. Then started studying for my bone exam. Can see boney landmarks perfect. Wish the scapula would move with the shoulder and clavicle. I'll have to get the $1000 one to see that in action.I'll keep this thru medical school and will use him when I open my first clinic

I bought this as a gift for my orthopedic surgeon who has just opened a new office and he didn't have one there yet. It was really easy to do the little bit of assembly required. There is also a nice plastic poster that comes with it, which pinpoints all of the pertinent info about the human skeleton. The stand is very sturdy and the piece itself is perfectly accurate. My doctor loved it!

TAKING THIS 1ST CLASS SKELETON OUT OF THE BOX, WAS A DELIGHT. ORDERING THE HUMAN SKULL FROM THIS COMPANY PREVIOUSLY, I WANTED THE WHOLE THING. THIS IS A MODEL SKELETON WORTHY OF ANY STUDIO, MEDICAL LAB, DOCTOR OFFICE, OR CLASSROOM . VERY NICE DETAIL THROUGH-OUT, MADE OF A VERY DURABLE PVC TYPE EXTRUDED PLASTIC. ALMOST UNBREAKABLE. ASSEMBLY WAS FAIRLY QUICK & EASY, OTHER THAN JUST A COUPLE SCREWS IN THE BOTTOM OF THE BOX, VIA SHIPPING. THIS SKELETON IS VERY NICE QUALITY, WELL ASSEMBLED, ALTHOUGH IT MIGHT BE A GOOD IDEA JUST TO GO OVER & RE-TIGHTEN ALL THE SCREWS THROUGH-OUT AS I DID, ALL THE PARTS WERE THERE. NOTHING BROKEN, MISSING, OR BUMBLED UP. THE PACKEDGING LACKED SOME REQUIRED BUBBLE WRAP, ( THE SCREWS, NUTS, REALLY NEED THEIR OWN LITTLE BAG OR CONTAINER, THIS WOULD PREVENT LOSS THROUGH THE PACKAGE DURING SHIPPING. THE PRICE, CONSIDERING THE QUALITY OF THE SKELETON, ALL OTHER ASPECTS & THE FACT IT SHIPS IMPORTED FROM CANADA, THIS IS A VERY WORTHWHILE INVESTMENT. IN ALL I WOULD SAY THIS IS ONE OF THE HIGHER END MODEL SKELETONS ONE COULD PURCHASE OUT HERE. (THE STAND)- THE MAIN SUPPORT ROD IS STEEL, SETTING DOWN INTO THE HARD PLASTIC BASE. BASE LEGS ARE DOUBLE WALL BLACK PVC INJECTION MOLDED PLASTIC, VERY TOUGH. CASTER ROLLERS POP INTO LEGS WITH JUST A PUSH. ..M.WALTERS / EMPERIAL PROPS STUDIOS.
