It's great that you can take the bones apart for clarity of understanding, especially the ankle, talas, and tarsals, but it would be helpful if some of the magnets were more powerful to help hold sections together better. You have to be very careful about your movements as you manipulate it, or it can fly apart pretty easily... and those tiny little toe bones can be hard to find depending on where they fly!

Magnets are not strong and the foot falls apart simply by picking it up

It's a very good and accurate model. The magnets aren't particularly, strong; however, so I would advise caution.

This is so accurate & wonderful for podiatry students; our professor actually recommends it in the syllabus. However, other reviews are correct--it disassembles REALLY easily. Be careful when you receive it in the mail. I couldn't get it out of the packaging without it completely disassembling. Hope I put it together correctly! I guess I'll find out as we study lower anatomy this semester haha... But, seeing as we have to study each bone individually as podiatry students, it's a good thing you can quickly disassemble. It could work just as well with stronger magnets, though. I'm afraid I'm going to lose some pieces the magnets are so weak. Just picking it up too quickly causes bones to fall off.

Purchased for study of foot anatomy - I like that the foot can be completely disarticulated. For this it is sturdy enough. If you're using with clients or in a clinic, a fixed model might work better. If you lift it you do need to support the bottom, individual magnets are not strong enough to support the weight of the whole thing, but it stands on its on and doesn't fall apart. Quality seems fine, I have not had any issues with magnets coming out.

I bought this product because we started the lower limb in podiatry school. It is just perfect. The pieces are magnetic and they disarticulate so you can study each bone individually as well as see how they function together. The quality is great, so far very durable! And the magnets are quite strong so it does stay up right when assembled together. The pieces are accurate and have the facets and grooves that are needed for studying! Overall, I am very happy with this product and the service provided by the seller. It actually came in a whole week earlier than expected so more study time for me!!!! :)

I am studying Podiatry and we got given a skeleton of the lower extremity. However, we are expected to know SO many bony landmarks on the foot so this is perfect because you can take it apart and reassemble it. I find that you can carry the foot around without it falling apart, but obviously it is magnetic so you do have to be careful with it. It has really helped me so far!

Very poorly made foot model. The idea is great, however, when you pull the bones apart, the magnet would come out of the model. Very low quality for the price. Do Not Buy!
