Your cart is empty.95 percent zinc-rich coating designed to provide the highest level of corrosion protection for metal in cold-galvanizing applications. 1st Zinc joins Weld-Aid Product longstanding family of anti-spatter products for the welding industry and builds upon the company tradition of providing high-quality products for metal protection during fabrication processes. The product was developed for use on metal parts and assemblies as either a protective primer coat to be later topcoated or as a standalone coating. 1st Zinc formulation of 95 percent zinc content provides the highest-level of corrosion protection in cold-galvanizing applications and meets the requirements listed in the ASTM-780, ASTM-D-520 (for zinc content), Fed. Spec. DOD-P-21035A (Galvanizing Repair Spec), MIL-P-26915A (USAF Zinc Dust Primer), and SSPC-Paint 20 specifications.

Used to coat the floorpans in my 1997 Cherokee as I was welding them in. Prevented rust throughout the welding process. Welds seemed to penetrate as long as it was not thickly sprayed on.

I used this paint to paint my Mercruiser Bravo drives (Aluminum)....I bought a used boat and I thought I would paint both drives for the looks....and I heard it helps extend the life of the drives as well!Well, this paint didn't cover SUPER smooth, but for what I used it for.....that was minor. I am not sure if this type paint just does that? Still.....the key to this product is how it lasts! How it covers and protects!For now...only time will tell!
