This funnel will save you a mess. I mean, I’m sure you can pour it in that small hole without spilling it, but why chance it? It saves me from dumping oil all over my headers every 6000 miles. Great for other uses too.

Ok, so this is just a funnel and it works well. I got this to change the oil in my boat because the oil fill hole is difficult to pour into without a flexible hose funnel. This has a small handle, a metal mesh strainer, and the flex hose part screws into the body/cup area. A lot of nicely thought out features. I'm sure I'll be using this for my generator too as that oil fill opening is a pain to get to too. I'll likely be using it for other things to. I'm really pleased with it, and at 1/2 the price of the auto stores, this thing is awesome! I'd definitely buy it again if the need arises.

I use this for my RV (winterizing and such). I'm not sure I would use this for oil and the hose disconnects and can leak as the connection between the funnel and the hose.

I found that a car needs a long narrow funnel attachment to pour gas into the gas tank. Fortunately one such came with my Scepter FR1G252 Fuel Container. This funnel does it's job fine, but you also need the attachment to poke into the gas tank as there is a valve that would otherwise be closed.

I had a great flex funnel, and somebody in my house used it for a toxic liquid, so I can no longer use it. I carry a flex funnel for adding drinking water to my RV when a hose isn't an option. So, found this one, it was cheap (get what you pay for) and for the most part it is just going to bounce around in my RV tool box. So, the flex slides up to attach to the funnel. It does not screw in, there is no catch point, so leakage. This is not a big deal to me, but if you are hoping to use it for oil, or some kind of chemical you don't want spilled, I can't recommend. The little "screen" it comes with is ridiculous, and with more effort than i chose to put in it, probably will fit in there, but it was, just cheap, and practically folded in half during packaging, again, I put no additional effort into it. I am only using it for water. So, while it is fine for my purposes, and for that I have really no complaints, the small drip i get from the nozzle to flex hose attachment is not a big deal to me.If you need a simple flex funnel for having around the garage or for your RV, it is more than sufficient, but if you are looking for something more, non drippy and useable more often and for bigger purposes, I would recommend going up a model or a two.I must note, received it as promised, it is packaged simply, and is exactly what I ordered at a reasonable price.

Used it for transferring fuel from 6 gallon plastic gas can to the fuel tank in my airboat. Works great could be more sturdy.

This funnel has shoddy construction and should be considered highly dangerous. The top portion of the funnel is a thick plastic but has a very short stem below the bowl. This is where the problem lies. The tube extension is made of paper-thin plastic. It screws into the threads at the bottom of the bowl. Gasoline will leak out of this connecting point because the tubing is so thin and cannot make a solid, leak-proof connection. Any attempt to firmly secure the tubing to the bottom of the bowl will likely result in the tubing to crease and split (as it did for me). This will cause gasoline to leak from the funnel assembly. Any attempt to manipulate the tubing will also likely cause it to crease and fail, resulting in leaking gasoline (as it did for me).I believe this is a highly dangerous product and should not be used with any flammable liquids such as gasoline or diesel fuel. If your 5-year-old wants to use it as a toy, fine. It is not safe or suitable for anything else in my opinion.

This widemouth funnel was perfect for my camping needs to create a urine diverting diy camping toilet. You can look up what that is on YouTube. Having been in healthcare for almost 40 years, potty is a necessary part of life. This item is big and lightweight. If you are planning to purchase this item for draining oil, the principle is the same. What may be an issue for draining oil is that the hose does not stay in position. You must secure the hose. The top of the funnel is sufficiently large enough to catch oil. In the past, we changed our oil regularly, so we know this funnel is large enough to catch oil. An issue for using this funnel for draining oil is to have either another person to hold the funnel or have a way to stabilize the funnel in the intake opening. Pouring oil from the top does not seem to be a problem. Using this funnel to divert other products like thick or powdery substances will be a problem because powdery or thick substances will over time stick in the creases of the tubing. Because the funnel is plastic, it will retain an odor over time like plastics tend to do. In my case I use a diluted vinegar to rinse the device and the smell of vinegar neutralizes urine smell while freshening the air. In the past I would place a shallow saucer of vinegar in the house to freshen the air. Throw out the vinegar down the sink for a minute and then risnse so the sink would freshen. I have many “workarounds.” My hope is that sharing my experience will help the buyer understand what is being purchased and plan ahead any necessary workarounds for the buyer’s use of the product.
