No comparison between these and the cheaper stuff out there. The workmanship and materials are far superior so if you want a quality product this is the one to choose.

The calipers are really 3 ½ inches, with the rest in the handle. I measured an old divider as being 5 inches when I ordered these, but it had no handle. These are also very stiff, so one-handed operation is not possible on the product I received.
