We're in Minnesota, it's 20 degrees today and there's still snow on the ground so I haven't had a chance to test this on killing actual weeds yet...but I did fire it up in the garage to test it out, and I have to say I am very sure the weeds are going to be no match for this weed blaster. It's light enough to carry around, can't wait to have a little "fun" with all those dandelions that crop up within 24 hours of the first 65 degree day!

I don't want to say I'm drunk with power, but the term has been loosely thrown around since I've been using this. Today I burned a measuring cup full of moldy peanuts, and it sounded like it screamed at me almost. I've also dried out a puddle and started a campfire. It can really change the way you feel about yourself and the world that you live in when you wield this kind of intense elemental power.

AISMRII may have provided the rough equivalent of a small jet fighter afterburner. They did a great job in the design, material selection and overall build quality. The instructions were good, allowing me to quickly get this jet engine fired up. The hardware fit and finish is excellent with zero leaks, I am super cautious with any gas fed burner and check for leaks using a soapy water based solution. The built in igniter is a nice feature, occasionally it might take a couple of pushes to get the torch to fire but it is a FAR better option than having to use a striker.Back to the afterburner power of the torch, the flame and heat from this kit is intense. I highly recommend having a garden hose or fire extinguisher at the ready when using this to mitigate weeds. (I usually do weed mitigation during the winter right before we get snow.) The power and heat from the flame is quick to take weeds down to the surface and melts ice dams quickly. If using this for Shou Sugi Ban, or Yakisugi, a method of preserving and distressing wood by applying an open flame; use caution as it can scorch the wood very quickly!Bottom line - I think this weed torch is a good value. It costs a little more than other weed burners I have used in the past; the difference and value for this unit is the consistent flame and near zero "flame outs".

this weed torch is great - seriously powerful! it makes quick work of even the most stubborn weeds. love the easy one-button ignition and the long handle. it’s a little tricky to get the gas flow just right at first, but easy enough once you get the hang of it. beats bending over and weeding any day. highly recommend!

This is a powerful extremely hot burning torch. Although the flame is not adjustable, it pumps out so many BTU's flame adjustability really doesn't matter. You can use any of the standard cylinders the long tall skinny ones or the fat short propane ones oxygen map gas and propane all burn beautifully when hooked up to this torch head. I have Incorporated mine into a homemade forge in which I forge steel. With the fire brakes and the other insulation I'm able to get it to forging temperature after about 9 minutes of burning. The electronic ignition is great no more lighting a piece of paper and throwing it inside causing a minor explosion inside my forge. Although lightweight and seemingly built a thin materials this torch is a stout well welded tool capable of hard use. The flame is hot right out the gate ensuring whatever you are heating or melting or softening will immediately begin to heat up. All in all this torch head is a great way to light a fire under you, in a camping or melt the ice keeping you from steady feet out to the car.

I’ve been happy with how this weed torch performs. The high 1,200,000 BTU output provides plenty of power for outdoor weeding, and the built-in igniter makes starting it quick and easy. I've used this as a quick and easy method of melting snow on my sidewalk from recent snowfall. The 36" long arm is comfortable to use, and the removable design adds convenience for storage. The included gas hose connects securely, and the torch feels sturdy enough for regular use. So far, it’s been working well, and we’ll see how it holds up over time. Overall, I’ve been pleased with its performance and how effective it is for clearing weeds.

I recently got this torch because I needed a reliable way to start my fire pit. I was pleased to find that it was easy to assemble, light, and adjust. It's very practical, and it has cut the time it takes me to light a fire by way more than half. I will be using it to get rid of some weeds on my patio as well.
