Be sure to buy the optional trigger valve to allow torch to burn at low flow rate between moving to next group of weeds. Otherwise you will burn through propane too fast.

Item is not safe .. Gas handle/tube is too short for average person .. flame when operating needs to be further away from feet or pants " .control valve on item is too sensitive causing flame flare up when valve is slightly touched .. could be modified but no time now for that.. Neddy

I started using a lower cost cane-shaped flame weeder, that required more time and effort to be effective. It died after just one season. I replaced it with this flame weeder - what a dramatic difference! I can quickly wilt the weeds and move on, without setting the underbrush on fire. [Please note: have a full watering can nearby, because setting the underbrush on fire is absolutely still possible]My only complaint with this weeder is that the paint at the nozzle peeled off during the first use. I don't know if the paint on mine is defective or if the paint being used by the manufacture is not appropriate for the heat this puts out. Hence four stars.I recommend the Weed Dragon for anyone serious about using heat to kill their weeds!

this is a very heavy duty torch good for burning grass between sidewalk cracks and weeds, problem areas around posts, trees, heating up metal parts, etc. carry a fire extinguisher for safety, a hand cart needed for mobility

I'm disappointed because this torch works really well, although you have to be careful with it; the heat it emanates damages plants nearby that you don't want harmed. But my problem with it is that the grass between the brick pavers is growing back already. When I used viniegar and salt, my walk ways were good for a year! Affecting the soil seems like it might be more effective, and I might have to return to spraying the vinegar.Feel free to correct me and let me know what I might be doing wrong.
