The Webster’s Thesaurus for Students is a useful item for kids to carry with them in school &/or use at home. It’s compact size is not bulky or heavy. There is NO excuse for kids/adults not to want to carry it around! Great for work, school, parents Teachers, students. It can fit in medium purses/bags/ suitcases/briefcases! (Without adding extra weight) Teachers should probably make them available in in the classroom. (Or people should donate them) It is great for when my kids do class work & do not have Mommy to be a walking Thesaurus! :) They need to be able to look up an alternative words/stronger words. BONUS: If they do not know a word & do not want to carry a dictionary, since it gives synonyms, they basically can infer what it means!. If there are more editions, I will most likely be purchasing them soon!!The best part is, it is already helping my youngest daughter w/her vocab. Hers is a bit more made up then my other 2 girls. So if you are wondering why I seem to be excited about a paperback Thesaurus, it’s bc it helps my child & she does not have the excuse that it is too big, so she actually WANTS to use it! :) yay!! Anything that helps kids learn &/or keep up with activities we do at home while at school, etc, gets 5 stars in my book!! Thanks!! Oh & it has a fabulous price tag as well!!

This is a very good thesaurus, with thousands of synonyms and antonyms of the words. Also, the some of the words in the thesaurus have short definitions which will help when trying to find the correct word. I ordered mine new and it came either used or with shipping damage. It was not enough for me to return it, but I did lower the score to four stars because of it. It would have been nice if it had been a hard-cover book, but at this price, I cant really complain that much about that. If this review was helpful, please click the appropriate button below. This is actually a great thesaurus for anyone wanting assistance in mixing up the words in your writing so it isn't a repetition of the same words to the point of redundancy.

This has been very easy to use for my sons. It provides a basic way to start off and encourage the use of a thesaurus. Not too intimating and I find my non-native English speakers expanding their vocabulary with newfound ease.

After a good dictionary, a thesaurus should be in everyone's book collection. This one is for students and was purchased for my grandson. It was on his required list for school supplies and it should be.I think email has increased the need to be able to write. A thesaurus helps to make it more interesting and to learn new words.Get one of these for your student and, if you don't have one, for yourself.

I purchased a copy for my son and a copy for his 4th grade classroom. The book is easy for him to follow and he enjoys looking at it when he wants to express something outside of his normal vocabulary, so I like that it's helping him build his vocabulary. Great price too.
