I just used this yesterday riding my Santa Cruz HightTower and i felt very safe. Very awesome protection and material is very sturdy. Its really a NO Brainer not to get this. Ride on!

I am a Police Instructor and use them for training and even at the range (for when I am in the prone position for long periods of time). Work great.

While I have little to compare this to, I that it was fairly comfortable and seemed to offer great protection. I broke my arm and wanted to return to bicycling after 6 week's while the doctor said it takes 12 to fully heal. So I used it for 4 weeks to make sure I didn't fall again and rebrake it. If I were rollerblading, I would use these all the time.

They look great, the protection seems pretty thin though, they wouldn't absorb much impact at all. The biggest issues with them is that they are huge for a large, and the velcro is garbage. After maybe a week, they constantly fall off, terrible. What good is an elbow pad that would fly off at the first impact? When you hit the ground it would either have flown off, or be twisted around your arm because the size is too big, and the velcro is the lowest quality I have ever seen. i life weights a bit too, so i have not got small forearms, and a medium would still be big at this rate.I've since ordered some G-Form Elite elbow & Knee guards which are far superior. Would NOT recommend these.

So, I can't attest (thankfully) to the actual amount of protection they give, but I did just ride down winsor trail in Santa Fe NM (8 miles downhill) and they stayed put. I forgot about them shortly after starting the ride, and though I fell a few times (not directly onto my elbows), they never budged. I wish they had a bit more comfy foam inside, but overall, I think they offer great protection, they are very comfortable, and they stay put.
