  • You need to make sure you check the gap space around the door. Most interior doors are made of hollow wood that tends to change shape over time, resulting in uneven gaps. It is very important to order multiple sizes to ensure the best fit.

  • Normally, weather stripping door seal will not leave any glue after it is removed. However, in a hot or humid environment, the adhesive will soften and the chance of leaving glue will increase.

  • If you encounter glue residue, use 75% medical alcohol at home. Spray on the residue and wipe it with a cotton swab before the alcohol dries.

  • Door weather stripping can reduces noise, but it doesn't eliminate it.

  • The adhesive on the door weather stripping is single-sided.

I got this for the bottom of the front door and, unfortunately, the size is somewhat smaller than what I needed. I managed to do a makeshift setup with double layers and double widths by using 2 strips adjacent and on top of each other. I believe in the right situation this should work.I see that the current product has a white foam and yellow tape while the one I ordered was black foam and the yellow tape. There are a few videos which claim no degumming and no residue if the seal is removed. In my case, I had to do a little bit of trial and error, and I had to remove some of the seal I had already applied. While removing it, it did not come out as cleanly as shown in the videos. My experience is shown in the attached picture and hence one less star on the rating.

I had a noticeable draft coming from around the front door, so I got this to help with it. This is a very well-made dense weather stripping that was very sticky on the one side. I did have to pull it off and reapply it because I didn't keep it straight and even then there was no issue with degumming or residue. It went back on easily and still held tight. It is easy to use, and I had no issues cutting it with a pair of scissors to the correct length. It worked great for me around the front door, and there is no more draft which will definitely helps with my power bill and keeping the house comfortable. I won't hesitate in ordering this product again.

Ordered this for use on my hunting blind windows. I installed them one day and that afternoon it started to rain, so it was the perfect test. I went inside after the storm passed and the weather stripping held up; not a drop of rain came in through the windows. I am going to use next on my front door where the weather stripping has worn off through the years. I am very satisfied with this product.

With winter in full swing, sealing leaky door frames and window frames becomes quite important.I ordered this door sealing tape for my old famrhouse front door. The tape was rolled tightly, with the adhesive side protected with a plastic film. Additionally, there was a plastic "plate"on the side of the tape wheel to prevent adhesive bleed through. Quite effective packing. The adhesive on the tape is strong and appears to grip firmly to the frame and remaining door sealantmaterial present on the frame. Very forgiving. You will need to move the latch striker plate about a quarter of an inch up from its current positionto account for the width of the tape. Similarly, you may need to shift the bolt plate in the same way.SummaryInstructions N/AFeatures Worked 5 out 5 Tape has strong adhesive and forms a nice seal.Durability 4 out 5 The material seems durable, but I can score it with my thumb nail.Ease of use 5 out 5 The application of the sticky-tape side was very easy.Total 5 out 5 (95%)

This weather stripping arrived in good condition and each strip is just over 13' long by .47" wide by .23" thick. The adhesive on the back is very sticky. I've installed the weather stripping around our two Pilothouse doors and it adhered very well to the wooden frame and was certainly very easy to cut with a scissors. This is good weather stripping at an average price of 36 cents per foot. Doing a bit of market research I've found pricing for the same size and quantity that varied from 20 to 60 cents per foot, so this is marketed pretty much right in the middle of that range. I've given this weather stripping 3 stars which is what I consider average because it performed the way that it should perform and it's at an average price.all the best,dr

With the recent cold snap, its important to seal as many drafty doors/openings as you can. I got this to supplement the rubber seal coming lose in the doors. Honestly I would like to go little thinner but even in the current dimension, it helped seal the doors off. Makes it slightly more difficult to close the door without using too much force but thats the trade-off to achieve that seal. Very pleased.
