I just got my book binding punch board tool and haven't used it. I watch several YouTube reviews before purchasing so I'm confident it will save me time in creating my watercolor field journals which I sell.

This is an indispensable book binding tool. It saves so much time for me and ensures that the holes are perfectly placed and even. The little pouch is handy for keeping your thread and needles (which are included along with an awl). Very happy with this purchase and highly recommend.

Ho sempre desiderato rilegare autonomamente quadernini di ogni tipo. Sogno avverato. Straconsigliato!

Its small and you can only use for an 8 Inch spine. Its so lightweight it’s awkward and kindda flimsy. The Track doesn't have much of a ‘valley’ to keep the paper in place while trying to punch. And the piece that goes over the punch area is extremely light , shallow and narrow that it keeps falling off while trying to fasten it in. The little screws are short and hard to screw in. I gave up. Can’t punch more that 3 pieces of scrapbook paper at a time. The punch tool is not a true awl and not sharp. The needle is short, i highly recommend purchasing your own longer heavy needle. All in all it really isn’t of good quality.

The perfect kit for book binding and poking signature holes.Thank goodness they sent waxed thread too because the thread I had was not good enough. I ended up using almost all of this thread on one book.I’d also recommend using a larger hole poker because the one they sent pokes tiny holes.

This little tool is perfect for creating the holes for my stitching marks on my hand-made book covers and inner pages. I would have given it 5 stars in all categories, but it is just a little difficult to keep it lined up while you are tightening the screws down at first. I got it down better after a while. It is such an easy tool to keep with you, easy to travel with. I would definitely recommend to the hobbyist with bookmaking.

This is very handy for the coptic and occasional saddle stitch books that I bind!I did happen to discover a shortcoming in the design, unfortunately. This has two configurations: one that allows you to punch holes in the center fold (for signatures) and one that allows you to punch along the edge of the paper (for covers). The downside is that it's very difficult for the two to align covers to signatures. When the material is pushed up along the upper or lower edge of the tool, it will actually align at different points.

This terrific and cost-effective book-binding cradle takes all the guess work out of placing and punching holes for any bookbinding project. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced bookbinding artisan, this is a terrific tool!Your line of stitches will be straight on your spine, and the holes will be even. Using SeaLemon's trick of marking ONLY the holes you need for the project at hand with a wet-erase-able pen means you always know exactly which mark to punch your awl through. It's got 1/4th inch spaced holes in both the cradle section and in the flat 3-column section. The ONLY thing that would make this better is if it was a little bit longer! But you can still do a longer book spine by shifting it down for the second half. It has approx 8.5 inches of punching holes.Compared to other book cradles out there, this is under half the price, and will solve all your book-punching worries:* No holes under your spine onto the surface below* Straight line of spine and book signature hole alignment* A guide secures your paper/s* Perfect Spacing* Supports multiple signatures, tooAnd it COMES with your basic bookbinding needs in a small felt pouch:* straight handled paper awl* curved needle* straight needle* thread - which is better for practice than final good projects. Get some better thread after you get good at this :)* The teeniest, tinyest set of instructions you have ever seen. You'll want to find the PDF and download them. And then you will want to refer to some YouTube tutorials about using it, because a video is worth 1000 diagrams for book binding stitches.Save yourself a bit of time and trouble and put that energy into making more beautiful big and little books! This is two big THUMBS UP from me!

I have watched tutorials, I have seen Paige Taylor Evans make the cutest little mini albums by binding them with colorful embroidery floss and charms. I loved the look but, wasn't willing to cut my chipboard, punch the holes and basically have to make a template for each book I wanted to make, so I gave up. The idea of so much work before it even began to look pretty discouraged me from trying any book binding. I can across this one day and thought I would search for tutorials and perhaps some inspiration. That was the best idea I had ,had in a while. I quickly got excited as YouTubers showed how to videos and shares of the cutest mini albums, books, journals and notebooks using this tool. I gave it a shot and purchased this tool and I'm so happy I did. The instructions are easy to follow and precise but, if you have issues you can always check out YouTube. I love this tool so much, I don't know why I was so scared to try my hand at book bing. My advice to you is get some charms, buttons colorful embroidery thread and a good pair of scissors because, you will want to cut up all your cereal boxes in your home for the chipboard to make your own books. You have been warned, it's really easy and addictive!
