Love it

The cutting feature on this works great! Scoring is good for small things, and I love how it folds up to take up less space. Overall this has a premium feel with the single exception of the light. The light doesn't work if you hold it upside down or sidewise. The connections aren't good at all unless it's sitting flat in the position it's would be expected to be in. Not great if you wanted to use it in any other position and honestly the light doesn't really help see to cut better in its standard location. Even without the loose connection, the light itself feels like cheap plastic. Would still recommend it as it cuts like a dream and every other part feels premium.

I have not been able to make a straight cut with this device. When cutting a sheet of paper in half, and then stacking the two cuts together, it is obvious that they are not even closely the same size, nor is the cut straight. The width difference between the two pieces is greater on one end that the other showing that the paper was cut at some angle. I tried multiple methods to compensate for this with no success. The marked measurements are hard to discern as they are very wide and far away from where the paper touches. The slippery surface makes the paper shift (or feels like it is shifting) as the blade goes up. As this trimmer is above average in cost for such devices, I recommend shoppers look elsewhere. Note, it is also not self-sharpening and the light doesn't help with lining up papers as it isn't bright enough.
