After 21 years of heavy service one of my Little Giant pumps wore out it's float switch. Amazon had the part ,came in 2 days ,back in service in 3 days . Gotta love it ,good for another 2 decades , made in the USA.

The switch was fine and fit well on my sump pump. The o-ring did not fit and I had to re-use my old o-ring.

This switch came with instructions and was fairly easy to install. It extended the life of my Wayne submersible pump. My old pump switch broke in the "on" position (fortunately!), so I figured that it was the switch that failed and the pump was still good. I'm glad I was able to fix this pump because it is part of an integrated battery backup pump unit. Having to change it all out would have been $300+ and a much bigger hassle. All good here.

The kit was an exact replacement control/solenoid unit. However, the gasket to seal the top is nowhere near the right size. I could stretch it to fit, but it won’t stay in place. You can see in the photo that it’s too small. I’m just hoping my old gasket is ok. I had water in the cap so I’m concerned about getting this sealed up. Wayne doesn’t give a part number for the gasket that I’ve found so you either buy this kit for ~$30 or you buy the kit that’s got the whole lid and cord with it for almost $70. If you need the gasket I recommend you find a different product.

I have an older Campbell Hausfeld submersible pump that started getting intermittent on kicking on. Removed the 3 screws holding the cover on and then the 2 holding switch in place. I then removed the rivets holding the switch together and discovered the issue of severely worn contacts. Quick research of part numbers revealed this switch as the replacement on quite a few brands of pumps. Ordered, switch arrived 2 days later, installed and now pump has been working flawlessly for 3 weeks now. Pump cycles about every 4 minutes due to the water table under my basement. and it hasn't missed a beat. Inexpensive fix for a popular issue with older Wayne made pumps. Will be ordering another one to have as a replacement ready.
