I do leather tooling as a hobby. This kit is great for small leather repairs or sewing patches. The color options are great.

I'm using these needles mostly to turn heavy canvas cloth into a totebag that is the size I want with the number and size pockets I want. I tried other needles I already had (sewing, quilting) and the poor puppies broke after a couple of inches of seam. These needles are robust and sharp, and have no trouble with the heavy canvas. There are two metal ring thimbles included to help push them through the heavy fabric, which are more protective than the leather quilting thimbles I have.The kit also includes needle threaders for different sizes of thread -- a standard wire one, plus a flat metal one with small and large hooks. My elderly eyes appreciate them all, and the flat metal threader is going to come in handy for threading yarn to assemble my hand-knitted projects. The whole kit comes in a lightweight translucent plastic box. The box is less rugged than the needles, but strong enough to do the job, and everything fits back in without fussing.I'm very happy with this set and am looking forward to having a tote bag that holds my stuff, all my stuff, the way I want it.

I dont make any clothes, but I'm the resident sewing / repair man. Sports equipment. Lawn chairs. Buttons. Zippers. But mostly heavy duty things like jackets, sports equipment, and lawn furniture. Regular thread just wont hold. So I normally use dental floss. Very strong. Its waxy. And very durable. Problem is that its hard to get onto a standard needle. I stumbled across this kit. Frankly I dont know what most of these needles are. But I can say is that they are super heavy duty, and it will be easy to thread dental floss, or the included waxy thread onto to them. the length will be great also. Sometimes when patching a lawn chair seem I need more length than a standard needle.I used it to restitch a favorite lanyard of mine (yeah I'm goofy that way)Pros:- convenient box to hold the kit- such a great selection of needles- good selection of thread- stitch ripper includedCons:- box is a little flimsy (minor complaint)Product Packaging and Aesthetics:Happy about 99% of things in this kit. My only very minor gripe would be the weak box everything came in. The Waxed Sewing Thread (7 Colors) & Heavy Duty Needles (11 PCS) is a great value. I need to make a small repair to a backpack and this kit made the job easy. The blue thread was perfect for the fix and the needles are very well made. I highly recommend this item.

Needles are way too big and thead is few. I was expecting a little more from the kit but its mainly for upholstery repair only

This worked like a charm to fix my chair and I'm really happy with it. I only needed one color but will keep the rest just in case!

Great kit and this worked great for me. I used them to stitch up a small tear in my soft top and it worked great. also used some thread to repair some slippers that the thread came out of on the sole. this alled me to reattch the sole and keep wearing my nice slippers.
