Easy to work with but I don't fully like it 100%. I use it for dentures wax rims and it works fine

The handle melted quickly after my first use it came apart Im very disappointed especially after paying $45 and the paddle is smaller than I expected actually it’s pretty tiny I wouldn’t recommend getting this item unless you have money to waste.

I seen one of these used in a denture making video and after a little searching I found this one. man this made fast clean work of leveling out the wax rim for my wax up and setting a height to work off of.it got me headed in the right direction and helped with my learning process and progression. one tool that was well worth buying to have in my box of denture making tools.

Super cheap material 8sed on handle. Just applying enough heat to melt wax for a bite block the handle begain to warp and by second rim part of handle started to come out had to super glue. Dont waist your money trying to save a few dollars unless your willing to make your own handle replacement.

For those of you who make your own record bases/wax rims, these make life way easier. Especially for those dental students out there. Most of you guys might not even know these exist! Heat up the plate portion of this tool, stick the lip portion (the non-curved part) into where your hamular notch on the cast is, and apply pressure! The melting wax will flow through the slot/flute in the center, and you'll end up with a perfectly level wax rim at the anterior height you desire, with its plane being exactly in line with what you want when doing your MMR. Give it a shot! Worst possible case, you spent some cash to figure out what does and doesn't work for you, and that's not an unusual way to get better at what you do and learn.I'd give it 5 stars if this were two-directional. There are Wax Rim Formers that are both left/right-handed. I'm also not THAT happy with the handle, as it's not strongly fixed to the metal component and the looseness is perceivable. The tool is still fully functional, but that's just my take on it.

Was skeptical at first buying this product, but being a dental student with limited time to complete projects, I am glad that I did. They also included a nice little bonus item that I was actually in need of! Thanks leemark!
