Project is printed on the canvas. It’s not true counted cross stitch. The canvas is very stiff AND the printing doesn’t line up with the holes.

This worked well for a manageable first project, without having to count as well as learn to cross stitch. I wish the thread count had been included in the product description; it would have made it easier for Grandma to know what to expect.

Bought for my 4 and 6 year olds and the cloth is sooo hard to work with, that they are unable to stitch. Extremely tiny holes that even good eyes can barely see, and the canvas is sooo stuff that pushing a needle through is hard for even me, not to mention my kiddos..Cute designs. Plenty of thread.

Kits are great but defiantly not for children as Aida cloth is heavily dyed for purpose of following design. This makes it very difficult for needle insertion. Adults only. Used for a 7 year olds birthday but replaced embroidery for colourful fabric and they sewed buttons on it. Very doable, great quality of hoops that are colourful and a good price per unit.

The dye is too dark, it makes it hard to really see what you are doing, the instructions are very poor. We googled others and went with a different menthod since the normal X stitch I used was too hard and crowded on this pattern and fabric.It would help if they gave the needle size to buy replacements.Putting the hoop around it is a pain!Most definitely way to large to put on a backpack and then you have to make sure it's torqued tight or make sure it stays tightened. They make cute gifts
