I like to have these lightweight beach blankets in my camping bag when we go camping. This is basically a lightweight tarp made of a thinner rip-stop fabric. It comes with a small stuff sack and 4 plastic stakes which are ok, but I'll probably swap them out of metal ones. It can basically be used for a makeshift rain fly, a tent footprint, a picnic surface, or a tent door mat - very versatile item for camping. These will shield from some moisture, but aren't completely waterproof if it's very wet. When refolded, the stuff sack was a little tight, but I was able to get it back in without too much trouble.Meets all my expectations.

The "blanket" was big enough to comfortably full 3 grown women. The material is similar to that of a tarp but less stiff. The stakes could easily go through sand and the blanket was never bothered by the wind. Sand gathered on it but was easily brushed off. Same with water.
