Used this as a dirty water bag replacement for the Platypus gravity water system on a five-night canoe trip. This has a roll top closure which was much easier to close than the Platypus zipper style, which is why I initially tried this bag. The fittings are interchangeable and worked great with the rest of the Platypus system. The hose that comes with this bag isn't as nice (kinks easily and is more rigid) but I reused the hoses from the Platypus kit.

I bought this in case SHTF as a prepper, and would add on my water filter to the tube to dispense water into a food grade bucket wuth dispenser. Also good for fresh water for camping. Can use it for cleaning dishes, hands, drinking etc while camping. The only CONS, they should include a cleaning kit with brush, and the tube is not that flexible. It's a hard tube. Hopefully it will last. I don't know the inner dimension to buy extra tubing. The bag is nice. It's velvety on the outside. Nice silicone bag. Seems strong. I have not used it yet. Keeping it in my BUGOUT BAG. Allows you to hike light so u don't need to carry around full bottles of water. Just make sure you have a water filter to attach. I recciment "membrane solutions" water filter over any other brand. I tested the filter. It fits perfect with this tube included. This is great for filling and keeping on your kayak or boat too!

Purchased after my wide mouth bladder sprung a leak. Took immediately on a 3 day backpacking trip to Linville Gorge with my sons scout troop. Wide opening makes retrieving water really easy. Bag is sturdy and durable. Great bladder when you need to filter for the family or a small group.Only negative I see is the roll top does not seal allowing you to carry additional water. I solved this by filtering into a 3 liter bladder. I knew the top was a roll closure and did not seal when I purchased so I had planned accordingly.

Two of us used this for a remote trip along Lake Superior over 3 days. I connected it right to a Sawyer filter using the Sawyer hose barb into the bag's hose. It was much easier to fill than the Sawyer bags and worked great. My only complaints are with 1) The closure; which would be a lot easier to use if it were the slide-on clamp type used in many bladders. When the bag is full it can leak when being moved even after "closing" it. And 2) The hanging strap is way too big for backpacking. I left it behind and used some paracord. Next time I'll add a lightweight carabiner to one side so it's a little easier to remove.

Best $15 item for backpacking I’ve ever spent. I already had the Sawyer squeeze water filter system. But filling and squeezing those bags is a pain. Suitable for a solo hiker I suppose, but if you are filtering for more than one, a gravity bag is the way to go. Hook it up to your filter and let gravity do the work. Scoop up 1.5 gallons of water in 2 seconds and filter away. I now filter into the squeeze bottles when at camp. This water bag is lightweight and durable and so easy to use. Highly recommended.

This this works great. I think it's a bit big for longer distances but I did pack it into a back country base camp in the dunes on lake Michigan, in April. I didn't want to go up and down the dunes for water all the time... They're brutal.... And the wide opening made this a fast fill in Lake Michigan when I had to wade out into the really cold water to avoid a bag full of sand. For a solo, I could fill this once or twice a day and have plenty of water for cooking and drinking and hygiene/dishes.It's really sturdy flexible material and it worked great with the sawyer squeeze.... You need an adapter for the hose end to the filter but they come with the sawyer system. It actually filtered really fast....I just used a lightweight bungee to secure it to the tree instead of packing that big strap. The plastic clip to pinch off the water supply is really stiff at first but it loosens up and I don't think it's awesome in quality but not a deal breaker. I would definitely like to find one slightly smaller if they make them for longer distance trips but for two or more people on trail this would be awesome as well.
