I have always used a rope or rubber band to keep the front door of my washers slightly open when not in use, it was a cheap solution but a bit cumbersome .... no more struggling to clip the door latch or to find ways to secure the rope to the back of the washer. The door rim of my washer is mostly rubber and plastic, but the magnets in this tool are strong enough to hold on to the screw heads fastening the rim. It is super-convenient to disconnect, easy to store on the side (just stick it anywhere on the washer machine), and quick to put in place. It is an upgrade vs what I was used to... for a decent price: pricey but made of quality material!

As a facility manager at a high school, I'm always looking for ways to keep things clean and fresh, and this washer door prop has been a great help in the laundry room. Our washing machines tend to get a bit musty if the doors are left closed, but this little gadget keeps the door slightly ajar, allowing air to circulate and preventing that damp, mildewy smell. It's incredibly simple to use - just attach it to the washer door and the frame, and it holds the door open about 4 inches. The magnet is strong enough to keep the door securely in place, and the grey color blends in nicely with the washing machine. It's also very affordable and easy to install. I had it up and running in seconds. It's made a noticeable difference in the freshness of our laundry room, and I'm really glad I got it.The only minor downside is that it might not be suitable for all types of washing machines. It works perfectly on our front-loading machines, but it might not be as effective on top-loading machines.Overall, I'm very happy with this washer door prop. It's a simple but effective solution for keeping your washing machine fresh and clean, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who struggles with musty odors in their laundry room.

I had no idea this little door magnet holder opener thing even existed! I have a front load washer and I have to make sure I leave the door open after doing a load. However, the door swings open and really gets in the way in our tiny laundry room. I was hoping I could find something to keep it propped open without having to be fully open. This does the trick perfectly. I was worried because the door itself isn’t magnetic but I used one of the stickers provided and it works great. Now I can have the door open so the washer can dry out without having it swing back and forth and block our path. I love it!! It’s the perfect amount of distance and it does exactly what it said it would do. I don’t know why they don’t make front load washers with a latch to allow the door to be slightly ajar, but whatever. This thing solves that problem!

When I purchased my home last year, I was lucky enough to get a nice washer and dryer. It had been a long time since I had owned a front loader and noticed during the warmer months a smell every time I opened the washer door. I bought some of the cleaning tablets and it helped a little but when I started reading about what it could be it talked about leaving the door open so the washer could fully dry. Since then, I have tried to do this, but sometimes my husband will see the door open and out of habit close it. Just by chance I ran across this little gadget. When I saw it, I thought, wow this makes so much sense and it will solve the issue with my husband closing the door. The item arrived nicely packaged with the magnetic rubber piece and a sticky metal disk in case the washer itself isn't magnetic at the door. This was not an issue for me & from the moment I put it by the door it attached perfectly. As you can see in my pictures when the washer is in use, I just put it on the side of the washer. When I'm done it just fits right in the middle of the door area, keeping it open to dry. After a few weeks of use this has become a routine thing and I love that there is no more smell coming from my washer! The price is great, and the item seems built to last! Don't think about it...just solve your stinky washer problem and buy it! I love it and I plan on using this little gadget for as long as I have a front loader washer!

I love this product! I have used some that use magnets on the outer part of the washing machine and bend to keep the door open. They eventually stop staying in place. This is the perfect size and out of the way. Great value and so easy to use. You just have to place the included magnet on the inside of the washer door. It feel durable and should function well for many years keeping the smell out of the wahser.

I was having the problem of the washing machine door not staying open when not in use. This results is mold and sour smells. I had been looking at different designs of products for this purpose. I had even diy’d one with a pool noodle that worked. I do like this though. The magnets that hold it to the metal on the machine are strong. The rubber that holds the door ajar is very thick and feels like it will last along time. There are also three metal discs included that you can stick on the machine if your machine is plastic rather than metal.

This feels very sturdy. The magnets are thick and strong. It comes with metal disks to stick to your washer if the part you place it on is not magnetic. The instructions do not give much guidance towards the best placement/use. I first tried it by where the door latches on the side but then moved it to the top center. Because of the angles putting it in the middle propped it further open which is better because my washer door has the glass that goes in a ways so it gets better ventilation with it open further. After the load of laundry is done you just need to remember to place it back in the door area to keep it open. I did not use the included metal disks because my washer is metal and the magnet stuck well to the washer side. It does not need the magnet on the door side as it works fine without being magnetic on both sides. If you want to use the disks on both sides you just need to make sure you get it aligned up where you will want to use it before sticking them on.
