I like to air dry my clothes whenever possible, and, especially, the "nice clothes" on hangers. It saves the fabric and cuts down on wrinkles. This clothes rack is pretty good for a utility room or laundry room. I found it a little stiff to fold up and I hope it will loosen up with time. Other than that, it seemed pretty stable (though don't hand heavy things at the very end!). It isn't really attractive enough to put up anywhere it will be seen when folded so it's strictly a laundry room addition. I put mine up outside on the back of my shed though I may bring it in to the basement this Fall.

So, once I got this up, I was happy with it. It feels sturdy, and holds a lot of clothes. I like the way that it stores hangers when I folder it up and out of the way. I actually added this to a shed at my lake property, and attached this inside a shed. It works great for hanging towels, and I like how it folds out of the way.The problem I had with this is two fold. The first, is that the design of the bracket doesn't fit a standard stud, so you basically are going to either not use all the holes, or HAVE to not have part of them secured strongly. I don't get it. The whole benefit of having a plate would be to align the holes correctly, then cover them, but that isn't the case here. That said, I should have seen that from the pictures here.My real issue is the way the rack slides into the base. It looks like they were design to fit together... then a coating was added. This meant the only way I could get the rack to slide into the base was to pound it in with a hammer, damaging the coating. I'm glad I am only hanging this in a shed, or I'd have probably returned it.So close to being good.
