Air charge temperature sensors measure air temperature through changing resistance and sends this information to the onboard computer. The computer uses this and other inputs to calculate the correct amount of fuel delivered. Symptoms of failure include no start, engine flooding, poor fuel economy and/or a steady check engine light. Recommended service should be performed every 25,000 to 35,000 miles and consists of cleaning or replacing sensors that are non-functional.

I had hard times removing the old original Sensor, as some "chicken" technician in a shop damaged it while re-installed it and broke a tab.Otherwise, added a little bit of lubricating/installation grease on the O-Ring and went in perfectly. It's been over 2 weeks since installation and the engine runs great, with no issues.

The one in my car was filthy and I tried to clean it but it didn't help. This is so easy to do yourself and makes a big difference in how your car runs.

Needed to replace my sensor on an 02 Dakota 4.7. Fits great and reads accurately (at least close enough to ambient within 1/2 degrees)

The product works like it should and fit. When delivered it was in a bubble pack envelope and the items box was completely crushed. Thank goodness the part was not broke.
