I purchased this lid for use with a nonstick 8 inch skillet. I wanted something that would not scratch the coating along the rim of the skillet. This lid is perfect. It arrived nicely boxed. The handle has to be attached to the lid with a screw, but this took only a minute with a Philips screwdriver. The silicone rim around the glass is uniquely designed to fit securely to a skillet of either 7, 8, or 9 inch diameter. It fits my skillet perfectly, making what becomes essentially an airtight seal. The small hole in the glass allows steam to escape which helps prevent condensation from building up. I was afraid this would interfere with making over easy eggs without having to flip them, but it was not a problem. The lid cleans up easily. I find silicone cleans a lot easier if you wash it right away rather than waiting to wash it later.The only negative, as others have pointed out, is the glass quickly fogs up during cooking which prevents you from monitoring the food as it cooks without lifting the lid. Since you would have to do this anyway with any other lid, especially a metal one, I really don’t see it as a big deal.If you need a lid for a skillet in the advertised size range, this one is a great choice. I like it so well I may buy one of the larger ones offered to use with a bigger skillet.

This is perfect for my Revereware Pot. It's the only glass lid I could find that worked. It's such a pleasure being able to see my sourdough, as it gets ready to be baked.

This is an excellent lid that’s versatile to use interchangeably with various sized cookware, be it pots or pans. Good , tight seal, see through cover and stay cool handle make it ideal for just about anything. Being dishwasher safe is a definite plus as well.Very satisfied.

Copy this from my Kitchenaid review. "KitchenAid 5-Ply Clad Polished Stainless Steel Wok,15 Inch"I got this, since I've gone through several different versions of Non-stick over the years. Ceramic, Black interior non-stick and now the Hexagon. Enough. I wanted a high sided stainless steel pan or carbon pan that I could use as a all/everything pan. I feel this is the perfect pan. I need to re-work and learn to find tips and tricks working with this. I know to pre-heat the pan, till I get the bead of water to roll across the surface. Fun to watch in this pan. This is also induction friendly. Allows me to see inside the pan. I love these silicone knobs. A bit larger than the one I replaced - good feature. Also, these have a flat base which fits against the lid, saving my fingers from accidently touching the hot lid - excellent feature. The knob was easy to install and does not get hot/warm at all - excellent feature. L-O-V-E them.

This lid works great for both my 8" and 9.5" fry pans. The fit is perfect for both and the vent works great as well. Easy to clean as well. I would recommend this product.

Good: Well made, silicone rim, glass center, stay-cool handle, fits 8" fry pans just fine.Bad: Insufficient venting. Glass steams up in about a minute and you can't see what you're cooking. Which is the whole pint of having a glass lid in the first place! Needs a larger vent hole or two. An adjustable sized hole would be nice.

I LIKED THE WAY IT FITS AND IS VERY WELL MADE. AND A LOT LESS EXPENSIVE THAN OTHERSMADE BY THE ORIGINAL POTS OR PANS MANUFACTURER. IT TAKES UP LESS SPACE THAN IF YOU HAVE A LID FOR EACH POT OR PAN. I RECOMMEND THESE, THEY HAVE DIFFERENT SIZES ALSO.

Love the silicone feel and quality of these pot knobs. They are slightly smaller than my old knobs which takes some getting used to, but they are a universal fit, so they work just fine. I actually used the old washer and screw from my old cracked pot knob to ensure the best fit on my lid. I would highly recommend these, I just wish they were slightly larger for a better grip.

The lids on our pots and pans were at the end of their 20 year life span. Nothing else was wrong with our pots, just the lid handles.Perfectly fit! Easy to install.I like the silicone feel, they never get hot to touch. These have saved us from having to buy entirely new lids.

My set of pots are 70 years old and in great shape.. other than the lid handles. These fit perfectly, look great, and work well.
