This comb is such a gift if your dog has curly-ish hair like our poodle’s. This is my second one because I have one upstairs and one downstairs now. I use the large tooth side to untangle the curls before I run the tighter flea comb side through his hair. It works great and saves so much time having to switch back and forth between the brush and the flea comb. Occasionally if I don’t use the larger tooth side first, the fine teeth do snag and bend sometimes. I use a little twisty tie to loop around the bent part and pull it back into place and it’s good as new. Unlike other combs made of darker plastic, this one’s white background allows you to actually see the fleas. The handle is also sturdy and easy to grip. Great product.

I like this comb and use both sides. Comb the dog to ensure all tangles are gone. And have learned to lay it pretty flat and hold the skin a bit. Really carefully then running the coarse comb flat over the skin and through the coat. I've hit myself and bleed almost every time if I'm not careful... so it's one of those. If you use it right... no issues here. The flea side works well and is sturdy. It is fine and does require a smooth coat. Some days I brush out a dozen or two ticks of all ages/sizes easily. But you do have to make sure your dog is well groomed.Otherwise, I wouldn't use this brush It's just not pleasant for the animal that way. Unlike others, zero issues with the teeth. I used this (both sides) daily for month No issues.

Well made, quality construction with good quality materials. We’ve had other items from this brand and have been happy with performance/value.Works great for working a short coat after a walk. Ticks are the worst.

We have five completely inside cats thanks to a stray (who is the only one who is an inside outside cat hence the need for a flea comb) who graced us with her and her litter. She was rewarded by being spayed as well as her offspring. Anyway, to get to the point, some of our kitties are long haired and some short. This Flea/Hair Pick & Finishing Comb is absolutely perfect. For the long hair cats I can use the bigger side to brush and finish their fur leaving it look healthy and shiny and also use the flea comb for routine checks. The short haired guys and gals just get the flea comb and both work incredibly! I am so happy with this! Even the cats (well, some of them) are happy with it. A few of them purr the entire time they are being combed and meow for it when you are finished. This is a terrific product and I recommend it!

I have an aussie/golden mix, so battling fur chunks and hunting for ticks is a real pain in the rear. This is great for those pre-chunky fur spots, where fur is juuust starting to get chunky. I have a mat breaker for more difficult areas, and our regular undercoat rake for normal maintenance. So this is a great "precision" tool for us. It does indeed make it easier to brush out ticks. My previous method involved a headlamp, blowdryer, and tweezers (and lots of screaming because yuck! ticks). With my headlamp to find them, this makes brushing out ticks sooo much easier.

WAHL Premium Flea/Hair Pick & Finishing Comb Orange/White 858503 Ergonomic Dog Grooming Brush for Detangling & Flea RemovalI love the soft handle on this comb! It makes life so much easier when I can easily grasp something without it causing pressure since I now have arthritis in my hands. My dog loves me to comb through her fur and even though she is a short hair dachshund, she tends to pick up stickers in the park and this removes them easily. A lot of people don't realize that dachshunds have heavy coats and this helps me remove any hairs into one plave rather than shedding everywhere.
