This is a pretty stiff spring. I am using it on a 3' Firefly and it doesn't flex a bit even at 65mph on the highway which is perfect. Would probably be good even on a 5'. I really just wanted it in case the antenna come into contact with a tree in the woods or if someone trys to mess with it.

I have this installed on a dump truck that uses 3' antennas. It saves me several antennas per year. It's the perfect strength for my needs. It keeps the antenna upright unless being bent back by branches or other obstructions. I have tried others that are either to week or strong. Highly recommended.

Easy installation. Excellent quality and is holding up quite well. No spring bending over time is great. It keeps it's shape. Works good with 3-4 feet long antennas. I would but them again.

Works good. Very stiff, but I am able to bend it for prolonged periods of time without loosing shape (I have to clip my ant sideways when I go into parking garages and such). I have wacked quite a few things and it has held up fine without damaging my equipment. Didn't seem to effect the tune at all, my SWR meter reads the same with or without it. Only quip is the rusted at the top, a little annoying as obviously it's designed to be outside, that said, purely superficial and doesn't effect preformance.
